No, fuck that noise. This isn't a time were every chick in a flick was just a disposible damsel/love interest. In current year +whatevet every female character needs to have this air of cuntiness to them. Having a female lead in western media that is actually sweet, a bit ditzy, a bit of a clutz and the film doesn't treat as a retard that deserves contempt is fucking revolutionary at this point.
Funny how all your examples are games with multiple character selection to add variety where she is mechanically very similar. And in that RPG? She is the healer, sweet as pie and either slaps people or bonks them with frying pans. Has she been competent? Yeah sure, has she been a war time monarch? Fuck no, never, that's why Mario is around and gets paid in cake since for the most part him and Luigi when he isn't shitting himself in fear are pretty much the whole combat capability of the Mushroom Kingdom.
Leaving aside my absolute disdain at how they seem to have butchered my girl and being very tired at how the hero in training has to always stary incredibly inept, the visuals themselves look great. Lots of color and pallete variety. I do worry it being too busy though. It seems like it will be changing beats constantly.
