Mario Bros. Set to Jump to Big Screen in Movie Deal with Universal’s Illumination - Paging Movie Bob, Paging Movie Bob...

Even without black Ariel the movie looks like shit, the colors are super muted and look boring, the shots are attempts at recreating the ones in the animated movie but with none of the energy that one has, and the designs because they have to be realistic just look far more boring.
I just hope the movie bombs. The actress in it sounds like a entitled bitch from what I here

Behold the power of keeping your Brand intact.

I hate to say it but the first Sonic Movie is better than Mario Brothers..and will make much less than it because who gives a flying fuck about Sanic.
The Sonic brand is still popular, but few things in video games are Mario-tier popular. The most surprising thing is the critic score, I knew it was going to make money hand over fist.

The OG Ariel may have been complainy in the first half of the original 1989 movie, but at least her being like this was justifiable because she was a teenager who wanted to go explore for some adventure and get Eric. Meanwhile, the new one has a bitch twat cunt whore nigger retard. Bravo Disney, I hope and pray that it fails spectacularly at the box office.

Journalists are Scum.
Critics are Journalists that are too retarded to write for the front page.

Keep in mind, critics preferred Disney Star Wars over Spaceballs. They also preferred 2018 Tomb Raider over the original Jolie duology. They are paid to say stupid bullshit which is why they are around in the first place.

I had a trailer for little mermaid before my movie and everyone was booing.
Honestly, your screening might possibly have the most honest audiences ever.
Even my girlfriend who doesn't give a shit about politics and culture War. Is annoyed about black Ariel. I'm really hoping this is an indication the movie will bomb hard. I really do.

Saw the Mario Movie yesterday, when they played The Little Mermaid trailer i heard a little girl right behind me saying she didn't want to see it :story:

Boy that movie is going to fucking bomb.

I can't wait for some tick tock video with a little black girl calling Black Ariel a Nigger appears.

Having now seen the movie, the Peach in the trailers is very different from the Peach in the movie, and I can’t help but think Miyomoto specifically stopped them from making her “girlboss”.

Movie was good, but it felt like I was watching it at 1.5x speed, the plot moves so quickly. Another 30 mins would have helped.

The best parts, ironically enough, where whenever they weren't in the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario and Luigi doing a plumbing job at the start and the climax were the parts that stuck with me.

I saw the movie and enjoyed it, but let's be very clear that this was a movie for Mario fans who want to see Mario happening on the big screen.
Like, I can see why some critics despised the movie - if you're the type who has to ask why Mario is crossing a bridge full of flying Cheep-Cheeps, you're in for a bad time.

I don't know why they made Peach so funny-looking when everyone else looked more or less like they should have.

Clearly I need to get around to downloading and watching this. For one of my mates it's going to be the first film their child sees in the cinema and by the comments it'll be great for the kid assuming they have the patience for the cinema experience.

I suspect what they were trying for with this was the Lego movie without quite as much meta commentary. Don't think they'll nail it because that movie got very lucky but hopefully it'll at least be amusing.

After thinking about it. The only thing this movie did really wrong was not having the book ends, "the city of New York" be in the real world and just having the Mushroom Kingdom be CGI. Have Bowser and the ship at the end be CGI. That might have gotten a higher score from me.

It doesn't have anything on The Lego Movie imo. The whole prophecy relating to the real-life kid and his dad was just too good, and this movie doesn't have that sort of thing. Like I said before, kids will like it, but there's nothing that any adult that isn't MovieBlob-tier will find to endlessly view ad infinitum.

Speaking of Moviebob, I remember how mad he got about the first Sonic movie talking about small towns and wanting to live in them as a positive thing.

Honestly that's the way it should be. Nintendo's been making the Mario brand more child targeted for the past 10 years, and the less they indulge the mid-40's NEET alcoholic demographic, the better.

Absolutely shit-tier meme but might rile some jimmies here and there.
