Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls welcome to Mario Kart! We are here today to celebrate, conjugate and pontificate the glory that is Mario Kart. As of this post we're sitting on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and have a whole mess of new tracks and GPs coming our way over the next two years. So explain to me and your fellow viewers why this game is the best Mario Kart game. And tell us why that other game is the worst Mario Kart game. Are you a fan of Sonic in a car? Come on in and tell us why your game is better (lol) or why Crash Team Racing is the superior kart racer because it has actual challenge thanks to its more-consistent AI. Oh? You play FAST Racing Neo because F-Zero is dead and Kart is too slow? Come on in and make the rest of us feel much less autistic. Hotshot Racing fans can get the fuck out.

So we've got a few writing prompts to get us started. Feel free to answer as many or as few as you would like. And bring up your own if they come to mind.

Yeah I was wondering about that. They definitely look a bit more plastic and basic. Maybe they'll add more detail but maybe not.

And I was wondering also if the later releases will end up having more detail than this first run. I guess we'll find out. They do look serviceable though and I'll have fun because I've desperately wanted new tracks for years now. My boys and I still play this shit every weekend. It's a fucking blast when you've got people in the room. Two players per system though. God forbid you let the FPS drop by having three or more locals. Fuck no!

Honestly, Sonic Racing Transformed is better than most Mario Karts. Camera, controls, stage design, it's all top tier shit.

To this day I hope they make another allstar racing since I don't care as much for sonic characters, I rather race as BD Joe.
Add Kiryu and Majima and you will get a few more sales.

It holds up the least of all the games IMO. My top three are Double Dash!!, DS and MK8D. Never got the try the arcade games but I hear they're decent.

64 and Double Dash are the ones I have the most nostalgia for. The only one I've bought since those is 8 Deluxe. It's cool and flashy but it's even more obvious how the comeback mechanics just screw over whoever is in first place, to the point where is often better to hang around second.

I feel you. I'd love to see another F-Zero game too. I'd say like Capcom and Rival Schools, Darkstalkers etc. they just want to sideline everything that isn't the big moneymaker.

Sega's take on Mario Kart, save Sonic R, were great games. The tracks had more life to them, the vehicles controlled better, online multiplayer had better netcode.
