Skitzocow Mark Bernstein - Ryulong 2.0, Creepy Paranoid Stalker and Anti-Gamergate Loser with Delusions of Grandeur

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
This guy is going to end up being a murder-suicide statistic one day.
I'm genuinely concerned he's going to shoot up a gathering of conservatives. I do not believe in conservatism but I am human first, and I don't want to see people die for having different beliefs. Someone that unhinged just needs a trigger and we've got another mass-casualty event on our hands. Once you start thinking of the other side as the incarnation of evil, you can justify anything.

Didn't he once say he had a wife and child? Good lord, what an embarrassment he must be to them.

If I had to make a guess, that was in the distant past, and if you were making a movie of his life, it would be in somber, dark colors now, and always raining, with occasional flashbacks to those ancient days in bright colors, back when there was a sun in the sky.

If I made a film about his life it would only have green and purple colors in it. Because GamerGate is his life now. It's all he can see.

I can't tell if even Mark thinks the "dropping rocks from the moon" stuff was dumb, or just surprised Wu has read that book.

I'm suprised this guy hasn't fucked off to RationalWiki, since the site basically serves as a refugee for Wikipedo's who get booted off for being too militantly left even by Wikipedia's standards. They even made Ryulong an admin at RW, an unemployed middle aged virgin who's still carrying on a decade-long Wikipedia edit war under socks over shitty Power Rangers spelling translations - so this guy should fit right in.

He may be insane, but at least he knows Wikipedia actually has cultural importance. Literally nobody cares about the irrelevant shitshow at Rat Wiki other than people here.

What I have noticed about RW is the website does seem good at manipulating google search results, and some of their shitty articles do show up on the first page for some of their subject matter; some of the RW folks seem to intentionally game this to make sure the hitpieces they write on their "enemies" make it into the first page of google.

Bingo. That's a reason Oliver D. Smith uses it to smear people.

I think this is more about wounded ego than insanity for Mark.

He's been sure to link his wikipedia userpage and his twitter account and his blog and his professional bio and his software company so that anyone is only a few clicks away from knowing exactly who Mark Bernstein, Influential Internet Guy, is. When he awkwardly lurches into twitter conversations about Wikipedia, it's always involving one of the most prominent wikipedia editors, usually current or ex-ArbCom, and often contains a link to his blog as a source or 'recommended reading.' As sincere as his anti-GG motivation may be, it's always been as much about making it known that Mark Bernstein is fighting GamerGate as it has been about fighting GamerGate to him.

So why would he fuck off to RatWiki? It would be admitting that Mark Bernstein Was Defeated By GooberGrapers twice over - first he'd be abandoning Wikipedia for a much less prominent platform where there would be fewer people listening to him, and second, if he did so, he'd also be forced to admit that he's one of the peons Wikipedia has cast off. Neither one of those is acceptable for Mark.

Let me give this a tl;dr for our lazier readers.
This means Mark Bernstein is as self-centered and egotistical as he is a blithering maniac.

He finally noticed he was unblocked/found something to start wikisperging about.

His first edit after coming back was, predictably, to go after Trump over something from the election.

The next was to remove a sourcing tag from someone in software, wouldn't be surprised if he has a conflict of interest. While there was work done on the article, there is zero talk page discussion since someone outlined the issues so claiming there is "consensus" seems dubious. I guess there's "consensus" in that some wikisperg didn't run through and gut the article/try to delete it.
