Have the sweats optimized the fun out of the game yet or is it safe to be a new player?
 
I mainly play tank but Phoenix looks like fun. I really hope they don't do the thing where you have to play as Phoenix to complete some of the event missions though. Everyone's gonna be instalocking her anyway and that shit just makes it worse.
 
As a tank main wolverine has been actual fucking cancer with that new team up. The nerf was well earned. That said I have no clue what these devs were smoking during balancing to allow that to see the light of day. The changes to the Thing are amazing to see. Being able to just slap down flyers and/or dive with the jump to confirm kills is insanely useful. A shield tank + thing combo is insanely potent assuming that enemy team doesn't just insta swap to hit scan characters like Hela to counter. Against dive like a good Black panther which you just can't do anything about in higher tier lobbies he's a god send.

They always allow like 1-2 busted shit in each season. They let it in so it's memorable for being stupid and it doesn't fuck with competitive too much because there's bans there. It's just annoying when you have to ban Wolverine and then finding out you have to ban BP now too because the enemy team banned Thing and that retard character can completely overrun games if left unchecked ever since people learned ghost dashing and they fixed the hitregs on BP.

yeah BP has been a menace that I didn't even notice until I flexed to luna in comp recently and it felt so retarded. Looked back at the VOD and there was basically nothing I could do against a BP diving from above doing snap 180 turns and then dashing away. As thing it was always easy to counter him so I never really got to experience that utter cancer.
 
Came back after not playing for the longest while and Holy fuck is reset Cancer!
People being so fucking retarded it's bordeline impressive just to turn around and blame everyone else.
My favourite is playing low elo and some dude swoops in and starting to dictate what roles everyone should play.
Or someone throwing a fit because you don't set up the perfect win conditions for his one trick.

Had more disconnects from fragile egos in what, a week, than any whole season.
One match bad out of three? Disconnect
Dies once? Disconnect
Someone said something in chat? AFK and then disconnect.

I enjoy the game, it's perfect for "shut brain off, play game, get frustration out" kinda deal but naw, not now.
Probably come back when the first wave has reached their level but the ralphastyle bloodsport rn is just more frustrating than fun.

I lost a game today with 28 kills, 3 deaths, and 12 assists with Emma.

The rest of the team had below 6 kills. The other DPS was 2-14.

Some games you can't help but try to carry retards into a loss.



You can say it's my fault for not being a proactive tank or not doing my job- but if I'm cleaning house and the rest of the team isn't capitalizing on me absolutely murdering the other team- it's not really my fault.

There's only so much you can do, you play tank, not tard wrangler for 5 spazzing tards.
Some matches are just a straight loss even when you play the best you can.
"You can only solo climb if you're able to carry the team" is bs the second you come up against a team who have two people at your level.
Being in a group of tards is fine, we all start somewhere even if it's frustrating. The problem is the egos on display which just makes it suck because even if I shut the chat down (not really a option) people will still throw because they get their balls in a twist

I got a MR video recommended on my feed for some reason and apparently there's this massive streamer, ex OW player, who got the same attitude I encountered.
I'm not saying he is at fault but I know people love mimicking their favorite background noise merchants so if that's the state of the streaming scene, yeah, it's gonna be a hoot.

I just wanna have fun man. Guess we just need to keep playing and try to ignore the tardsquad

He's seeing a lot of play now at all ranks and he even has a really solid winrate. People are starting to acknowledge that BP is actually pretty easy due to how fat the hitboxes on his dash are and can consistently delete your strategists. I've already seen BP one-tricks seethe because they know their faggot character with an easy to land instant kill is going to get nerfed and the only reason he was allowed to keep that retarded kit was because he couldn't pull it off consistently due to hit reg issues.

He's a poorly designed feast or famine character that can't be allowed to be good or he will make people quit the game. Some characters, like Magneto, can be allowed to be top tier characters every patch because you can actually play against a Magneto. BP's design has two homes: bottom of the dumpster or completely running lobbies and making people quit. I'm convinced the devs were very aware of how problematic BP would be if they fixed his hit regs and that's why they planned Blade for Season 3.5. All the BP monkeys are going to suddenly become Blade mains when the devs break BP's kneecaps.

I'm taking a break for a while from this game because I can't stand the player base. I also don't understand how making the ELO system a slot machine instead of making actually engaging and fun matches is supposed to drive engagement over the long run. The game has great gameplay but the I am putting more energy into trolling man-children than playing the game. It's really easy to bait them into a temp ban when they are already raging on mic, that I basically have it down to a script. The kids on the game who act the same way initially have a better control over themselves and their emotions. It's pathetic. Some highlights include:

* A grown man upset that I picked Emma Frost, because Emma Frost is his wife. He ended up picking her out from under me at half time, which has been a really good strategy to annoy people.

* Niggers on mic while babies scream in the background. The get uppity when you ask why they're playing vidya games and being a negligent parent.

* Niggers on mic with dying smoke alarms in the background.

Tonight while walking home from a date a white guy that looked cracked out walked up to me. I thought he was going to try to rob me and he said "DUDE, FANTASTIC FOUR, ITS AMAZING. AWESOME MOVIE". I'll take his word for it...

Seems like the games in Season 3 have been just dumb as hell with teams still getting cucked by nerfed Strange or refusing to push the vehicle.

Jean Grey is a mixed bad compared to Emma or the Invisible Woman, where she can't carry a team to a win and her attacks are slower projectiles compared to Hela and firing rate is slow as well compared to other duelists.

And crowd control with her is useless when most of the team refuses to finish off the low hp enemies.
