Plat has been better than gold so far. Like people calm down knowing that either they reached their limit or just passing through, either way most people actually play as a team instead of trying to get a good score.

Still some people need a ego check thinking the stats mean anything when they're on the losing team so having to tell people to stop jerking off to their K/D and start going for divers is now every 4th match instead of every other.

In what elo do i have to turn on mic? I wanna say after diamond (so never in my case) but anyone else think it's necessary earlier?

Some matches are just a straight loss even when you play the best you can.
Gameplay is fun as fuck but the matchmaking is the worst I've ever seen. 90% game will have your team be filled with drooling retards or the other team filled with drooling retards, either way, it's a complete one-sided stomp. So many game i'll rack up double digit kills on the supports and stall the point to hell as captain america but still lose. I'm left wondering how my team is unable to win a 5v4 while the enemy team has no supports

Second gripe is jeff. People pick jeff every single match despite him being the worst character in the game. I'd rather have another dps over a jeff.

There is no true ELO system until you hit the top ranks. Matchmaking is a slot machine that is built to drive engagement. I don't understand how whatever they've figured out drives more engagement than having actually competitive and fun matches more often but that's kind of the state of quality of everything in 2025. But it probably is no different than how Facebook found that getting people angry was a great way to drive those metrics on their site.

Since the 3.5 season I'm in a loser's queue which also seems to be a documented thing where you'll just get put in the exact situation you described match after match after match. You can collect SVPs all day but you can't carry alone. It seems like all you can really do is wait it out. If I boot up the game and end up in one of those matches I just don't play another match, I'm not going to feed whatever engagement algo they've got.

The problem with Jeff is that he is very beginner friendly. Like Punisher he's a decent character, but the people that gravitate towards them suck. Most Jeffs get drawn to doing DPS rather than healing because it's fun to do damage with him.

100% agree that the gameplay is great, but matchmaking and the community are dog shit. I got an app on my phone that plays fart noises and now when someone starts running their mouth, I play fart sounds whenever they talk. It does a really great job at diffusing the situation and getting other people to laugh.

My favorite is when you get stuck with the tard squad and the other team have 3 celestials trying to get back to rank after not playing for a season.

Fills my heart with joy 🫶☠️

People lusting over Frost is up there with the red bitch from Baldurs Gate 3. Such an obvious fucking goon-plant that yet works out. People know they're being shilled pornbrain yet they gladly swallow it up. "Oh, a nice fun shooter. What do you like about it?" "PAWG PUSSY!", aight cool. The game? Oh you haven't played it since Emma launched? Uh.

Pretty much all the lewd outfits are toned down versions of the risque outfits that were in the comics. The notorious Malice gooner skin is noticeably less revealing than the original comic version and all the swimsuit outfits are less revealing than the old 90s X-men swimsuit issues. This is a gooner game by virtue of the rest of the modern industry being sterile and safe but as someone that grew up with games like Duke Nukem and the original Mortal Kombats, none of this is really that wild. Fucking AmongUs was worse like 2 months after it became huge because normies started using that as a dating app to meet strangers to flirt with.

I swear to god, the matchmaking is abhorrent. I'm in gold and I just queued with a Loki that didn't clone and a Dagger that didn't switch to Cloak and didn't right click, and they both kept just shooting at the enemy and barely healed. I stood behind a boulder and begged them, spamming the help button over and over when I was almost dying, and instead of turning around and healing me they went ahead and jumped in the frontlines to get promptly deleted by the enemy, and then a Hela finished me off. How these two glue eaters thought it would be a good idea to queue into comp with characters they know fuck all about how to play is beyond me.

I feel you. What gets to me is the awful positioning and staggering of lots of the player base. I constantly see supports and poke dps characters front lining and immediately dying. You'd think after the 9th death these dummies would learn to hide far behind tank and only push whenever they start to push/someone gets a pick. Supports are the biggest offenders. Like bro, what makes you think the character with mediocre-shit damage should be in front/next to the tank.
With that being said, I really like the game. Monetization isn't bad and there's always new content dropping. Cool that the devs are incorporating lots of fan content into the game, jeffnado and some of the stickers come to mind.

With my having all the tanks at lord (except for Venom) I for one am very excited to have Angela in the game. I know a lot of the online discussion as of recent have been cries of the game dying and NetEase mishandling the first year of content; but I'm not at all worried. The only misstep was having Season 3 be two dps, if I were a betting man the plan for this season and onwards was always to have one popular character to bring people back and one niche character who can fill the support or tank role. The general gaming public will come for Daredevil and fans of the actual game will apricate Angela. Would not be surprised if next season is a popular character like Deadpool in DPS and then another niche character as Support.

The only issue I have is this yet another season with a middling theme, we already have enough Chinese skins, a whole China-themed season is insane. I have next-to-no interest in the BP or skins and that's kinda what matters to NetEase the most; microtransactions. This heavily armoured eastern-inspired Daredevil design is not doing it for me, and checking 4chan, Twitter and YouTube it seems many agree. With the game being a flop in the East it would be nice to see NetEase respect that this is a Western franchise and focus more on the Americana inspiration and not inject Asia into everything. I'm a big fan of a lot of the Rivals designs but Iron Fist, Hawkeye and now Daredevil look a little too different for my liking and those three have been chink-ified the most.

I'm still really enjoying the game, but I stop playing the moment I have a bad match and I take regular breaks from the game. Seeing the endless rants online about how bad the matchmaker is, I can agree with them but also assume this is the voice of those who likely play all day every day. As for the player count I don't think it's a shocker that it's now in line with similar games like Overwatch and Deadlock; Rivals went from the GAME of the moment to just a popular hero shooter, with devs this communicative and responsive I see no reason to worry about it's immediate future.
