The only issue I have is this yet another season with a middling theme, we already have enough Chinese skins, a whole China-themed season is insane.
I'm just hoping the maps for this season are bright and colorful. We only got 1 map since release that isn't dark and gloomy (Krakoa domination). Meanwhile we got Midtown, Central Park, Arakko, and both of those Klyntar maps. We're probably going to get a "Hell" map set in the Eighth City, so I'm hoping the "Heaven" map they're releasing isn't dull to look at.

Surprised it took so long to add clone ramble and free fight that allows duplicate characters. It was nearly impossible to test a character in qp or ranked due to off-role inta locks or banning in higher elo.

Angela's design is a miss for me. Good thing I don't play dive tanks.

Wow I hadn't noticed there's only been one colourful map, the oppressive and gloomy vibes of all the post release maps has not been the best decision, Central Park and Arakko are already some of the most gruelling maps to play and their aesthetic does not help.

I'd really like to see some more low-stakes season themes. I read on the Rivals Leaks subreddit there's a romance/lovers themed season and a Spider-verse season and I think those could do wonders in terms of variety. I don't need the game to be overtly colourful and remove any edge or flair but it would be nice to open the game and get a menu with music that's more hopeful than the two seasons worth of serious villain themes.

The Hellfire Gala has definitely been the best season so far, a colourful and interesting setting (superheroes at the met gala) with a new tank and support (one of which is a villain!), a colourful map and a serious edgy villain map. It was a good variety and a lot more preferable to two venom maps and arguably the most boring X-men added to the roster. Season 1's saving grace was adding the Fantastic Four. I'd really like more seasons like 2 that give us variety within the season itself, and getting an actual bad guy to play was awesome.

I'm cool with a "break" season with minimal stakes or more comedic in nature. It's not like it would be out of place seeing as how Hellfire Gala was intended by the heroes to be a break from the action after defeating Dracula. Unfortunately it got interrupted by Ultron and there was no break after that because the moment that problem was solved, Knull popped up and that's a multiversal threat that needs immediate attention. The upcoming season is just a continuation of that story with Hela's punishment and all the fallout of that.

A few months ago when they brought up the romance/lovers themed season, the dataminers also found voice line interactions for Gambit and Rogue, which sound like a solid fit with that rumored theme. They could lean into the low-stakes/comedic nature of the season with the map designs. They could have a wedding ceremony (Rogue/Gambit) and the payload is a wedding cake. Attackers winning shows a cutscene of the cake arriving as planned. Defenders winning shows a cutscene of the cake getting eaten by Jeff. They could even lean into the "Namor loves Sue" bit by having a map with the story of Namor trying to ruin Reed and Sue's date or something. They can even lean hard into the shipping the brainrotted community goes after since this is their own special universe, like having Mantis and Loki having matching outfits or sharing a MVP screen together like the Reed/Sue wedding MVP.

I read on Twitter that Cloak and Dagger are getting married soon in the comics so having that coupled with a Gambit and Rogue season could be great.
Disgusting, imagine consuming woke Marvel slop.

I like that she's a physically big build, it doesn't make me want to masturbate furiously which seems to be the sentiment of most players. The online obsession with buff women is a very soy trend reserved for Reddit's greatest warriors and annoying Twitter artists. The discussion around sexuality in this game in general has been very immature and overblown, Superheroes are meant to have incredible bodies, whether that's being muscle bound or impossibly thin. I did notice Angela shows off a lot of skin in her default design but that's not a good or bad thing; it's just the design.

For a lot of hero shooters I totally divorce my biases when it comes to the cast. Junker Queen in Overwatch or Angela don't at all upset me because they're cool characters with designs that appeal to me. Both games have plenty of petite women if that's your sexual preference and/or politics. The only time I got chuddy about either games is that I feel Overwatch has way too many female characters, at one point there were more women than men.

From all the gameplay I've seen of her she really doesn't seem overpowered by any means, basically all CC will ground her even in her charge. The only exception I saw was the Wanda CC. A gripe I have is the ult not giving Magneto's ult any charge. Her kit doesn't seem busted at all though. Time will tell I suppose.

From what I've seen from the people with early access she's super easy to catch out of place or coordinate against. She's definitely the fastest flier yet but also got a massive hit box and realistically is very limited in terms of attacks. Slam the ground and commit to melee, or charge at people with the spear; she's not at all poke like the rest of the flying characters and I doubt she'll win a straight up fight against tanks like Emma, Magneto and Strange all of which can win both a fight on the ground and swat her in the air.

god this pve zombie mode is fun as fuck, I barely touched this game in a while but played this for 5 hours straight!
it reminds me of when tf2 mvm came out, just living the power fantasy of being a super hero and killing thousands of zombies
I recommend Punisher with just the assault rifle and damage upgrades you shred through all the zombies like butter
Thor is also fun with just shooting a shit ton of lightning and dashing through everything with the hammer
I still need to try out the other heroes and find ways to break the game with them

Agreed, the zombie mode is great and such a breath of fresh air. Only complaint is Nightmare 4 requires 3-4 Blades with the same build which is a shame because I was having a lot of fun wining with each character on the other difficulties. Thor with the fully upgraded red tree is awesome, combined with the ultimate that sends all the lesser mobs in the air.

If anyone is curious about beating Nightmare 4, don't listen to the crazies on YouTube or /vg/ who claim you need 20 revives. My crew and I won with a Jeff and three Blades, rocking the full red tree on the sword, and for upgrades only getting damage dealt, damage negated, sword damage, sword range, and daywalker dash upgrades. Blade's life steal scales in zombies so get to around 10-15k hp and you're good to go. As for Scarlet Witch you just only want to spin into her during her reality erasure phase; otherwise abuse your default swing so that you can see the stun bubbles and avoid them.

This PVE mode is really good despite being pretty barebones. It has a lot of potential and has boosted the player count significantly. Assuming the leaks and teases are true and Rogue and Gambit are next in a romance themed season, this could be a very good way to end the first year of Rivals. But they could also fuck it up, especially if Rogue is also a DPS like Gambit, and they don't nerf characters like Jeff and Daredevil who have been dominating quick match and the metal ranks (which is where 90% of the players are).
