The people crying online about Moon Girl not being in-game are insane, either you make her a part of Devil Dinosaur's already massive hitbox and I guess landing a shot on her would be critical; or you go the other route and she is purely cosmetic. Making her a Persona-style navi was the best compromise they could make. This season is neat, Devil Dinosaur surprised me with just how fun he is to play.
I predicted earlier in this thread that the game would die when the Chinese slave labour couldn't keep up but my estimate of two years was wildly off, we are already seeing cracks. It wasn't worth posting in here but last seasons Emma skin was a complete disaster, after promising it a year ago with the last Hellfire Gala, they showed us a clearly rushed and unfinished skin that was locked behind a week's wait just for it to be replaced with an improved version. Story is that they were going to adapt a very risqué but popular look of hers from the comics but decided against it last minute and cannibalized the assets they made for it into other skins.
This seasons we've seen one new team-up and a balance patch that feels like it was put together last minute. Barely any big changes, random buffs for already strong heroes, and some adjustments to characters that are currently broken in the live game, like Mr Fantastic whose damage is way bellow what they said it was amended to. Phoenix rules the top of competitive and after 3 seasons of begging for nerfs, they buffed her. If you play competitive at any rank you cannot play Gambit due to bans and triple support is meta no matter the skill level; no changes to Gambit and a buff to Mantis, one of the best triple supports.
In an ideal world they would slow down with the constant new content and take their time to drop a new season. Maybe do old school style content drops like Valve and just release stuff when it is ready. Playstation recently updated their UI to show how many people play a game in your region weekly and Marvel Rivals apparently has nearly 1.5 million players in the UK alone so I think NetEase will just keep cranking out updates a month at a time until they lose a significant amount of players.
