Personal example: I'm confirmed just-under 5'9, my sister insists she's 5'7. She is at least 4 inches shorter than me. Lots of friends swear their boyfriends are 6ft+ when the dudes are my height. Men will lie about their height and womanlets see that they're taller and just believe what they're told.
She's probably like 5'3 and he's 5'5.

This response is textbook damage control from a woman. While it’s true that Beardson is thoroughly soy infused, this is a very feminine way to approach all this. Her focus is making sure she looks good in all this. She failed but she also married Beardson so it’s not like she was the shiniest bulb in the drawer to begin with.
