I tried to think of an example of Beardson going after someone in or close to AF who was also close enough to Fuentes that he should have thought twice about doing so. My theory is he doesn't attack in earnest unless there's something in the air telling him Fuentes will be OK with it.

The only example I came up with was Scott Greer. Beardson's end of the spat has probably been lost to lolcow history--he did a long stream from his car in which he called Greer gay about 700 times, & it's been deleted from his YouTube channel. But what Greer did that set him off might interest people.
