What you say is true in the present day, but has not always been true of punk. A lot of punk rock in the 80s was "working class" driven and anti-intellectual. Even prominent 1990s figures like Ben Weasel and Joe Queer (both mere pop-punkers) are examples of anti-PC culture in punk that is now a distant memory. But guys like Gavin and Beersoy seem to retain the notion that some vestige of that punk era still survives. Of course a strand of that attitude undoubtedly continues today in some narrow sense, but it has been drowned out by victim culture pandering and although i don't follow it, I strongly suspect there's a loud movement of punk trannies and enablers who are looking to rebrand Screeching Weasel and The Queers as being on a level with Skrewdriver.

Anti-PC doesn't mean they're not left. Especially in the early 90s where PC was an academia thing.
Joe Queer is absolutely a liberal but I guess you'd call him "dirtbag left" or something nowadays.

That was once true...and maybe it still is, I'm no expert. It seems to me like PC is a core tenet (maybe THE core tenet) of leftism in 2022. I can't think of a lefty who isn't also PC. Maybe Redbar...but he's not exactly the norm. Most of his listeners don't even understand he's a lefty, that's how incongruous it is. Lefties don't care if someone is a billionaire, or flew to Epstein island 26 times and love corporations more than your own mother, but they do care what words you use and if you mention your love for trannies in every sentence. But i'm unironically a boomer, so it's entirely possible there's a whole swath of humanity i'm just not familiar with.

Edit: Having re-read your post, I think I'm essentially making your point for you, that what it means to be left has changed and back then it wasn't married to PC. My bad. When we start talking about punk rock I get excited and start rambling and my mind tries to catch up. My bad y'all
