Matt MVS is best known for his...Interesting music. His rise to fame came about when /v/ stumbled upon a fan composition for the Forest Temple in Ocarina of Time.

/v/ was quite amused with his musical abilities. Another favorite being seen below.


Unfortunately for poor Matt MVS life is not all sunshine and rainbows, he has a habbit of making nihilistic rants where he will spend over ten minutes at a time going on about how the world is terrible and life is meaningless so you might as well just commit suicide.


Matt MVS also will go through phases where he posts daily suicidal rants without any background music, just silent single slide videos. He has a ton of these and they are all basically the same video, just repeating that life is meaningless, he doesn't enjoy things anymore and he wants to die.


Matt's behavior is quite unpredictable, he'll post anything from bizarre music videos, nihilistic rants or weird face cam videos. Looking through his YouTube videos can be a weird experience and he uploads fairly frequently. His shenanigans seem mostly contained to YouTube, but there's a decent amount of strange content from him.

Edit: Sorry everyone, had no idea that he would delete everything. /v/ made fun of him for a long time and he had a lot of comments making fun of him yet he never showed any signs of being the type to just get rid of all his content. I'll update the OP if similar videos to the old examples come along.

One thing I neglected to mention in the OP is how Matt responds to criticism. He is a pretty mixed bag in that regard. For example here he responds to someone saying negative things about his music quite calmly.

However, here in response to a negative comment on one of his suicidal rant videos he goes on a furious ALL CAPS RANT.

I really hope to see more with this guy. I'm feeling pretty excited about this.

So I realize this is a rather old and dead thread, but I have a good chunk of unknown information on this guy that I wanted to share. Years ago when I used to play Minecraft, he used to post his songs to the forum for the server I played on. While it’d be safe to assume it was just a parody in a lot of cases, his account there was made in late 2012, which was a good chunk of time before he was properly discovered. I’ve provided a link and archive of his profile there, as well as his original post from 2012 that first made me aware of him.

When I originally went back I just intended this to be a look into some old history, but to my surprise his account has recently been used earlier this year. I’ve attached a link to his new post, as well as an archive of it below.

Looking over this new thread he posted gave a few interesting bits of information. First off, he seems to (potentially) be on drugs, talking about how drug trips can help with writing music and linking to some druggy youtuber. More interestingly however, is that he provides links to some of his new videos, which means we now have his new youtube channels, as well as a couple years of previously undiscovered content he’s made on it. He only has 11 subs and barely any views, so this content should all be new.

Most of the videos he's got on this channel are his compositions.
He does have a playlist though 'Miscellaneous Videos' has a title called "Hedonism" and within the comments of that video is(what I assume) his entire Philosophical Manifesto.

He has numerous posts this month, they're all crazy... lots of Q&A between him & himself, and he writes... a lot.
Glad he hasn't game ended! He doesn't seem to talk about it at all, or very-much anymore.
Though he does call himself dumb an awful lot.

i've been silently obsessed with mattmvs for years. i did a deep dive on his dailymotion, where the little scamp recorded himself playing twilight princess start to finish like thirty times! before recording it with a camera he would take pictures of his gameplay and upload it to his photobucket account. he couldn't help but to put his high school diploma in several shots, for some reason, so we have a full name - matthew victor shelton.
