My man, you're archiving a youtube lolcow, not a major political figure. Maybe get a little perspective.
I believe that my social skills and understanding have improved over the years. In the past I cared more about certain things than I do now: Not great to do that in some cases. I'm interested in knowing what about my posts have that "schizo feel" to it? What do you think? Other than not knowing the etiquette of this place which someone pointed out.
Part of what I meant by that post was devaluing archiving is not great. I posted about archiving in detail and while you could say that was nerding out or off-topic, I don't think the posts were that bad. Otherwise, I think we should innovate, worked harder on this, or come to a level of understanding so that archiving can be less centralized or fragile. Yes a major political figure has more sway in deleting things, but what's good for the goose is good for the gander. I did do somewhat significant work doing programming and stuff to make archiving better, but yeah I guess no one really wants to hear the details here.
You didn't make anyone, "feel bad," they're just here to laugh at some loser on the internet. Maybe make a few of their own jabs. Maybe catch him being a racist or something. They're not here to read paragraphs of you talking about the importance and intricacies of archiving. If you want to touch on disliking the current options available for easy archiving then say something closer to, "***** sucks and I've noticed things getting deleted, instead I use ****** but I'm looking into other options," then move on. The topic would have been about 10 posts smaller and the relevant information would be easier to find.
You make informative posts, but please use the these [spoiler][/spoiler] tags around the stuff regarding archival.
Dude it's not that deep, it's just that you make sperg posts that can be shortened down or kept to spoilers. Unless you're an OP or have actually needed information on a thread, it's best to just make things brief alongside the side-rambling.
I kinda thought I would be over it by now too. I even think ponies in FIM look kinda dumb with large heads. Nonetheless, sometimes i just can't get enough of mares and ponies. (There's a certain video which I think gets my point across.)

What do you mean "anymore" ? While I will admit I have only used archive.is relatively recently, I've never been able to use it to archive a video and play it back, or even interact with the archived web page content.
