The fact that Darkviper claims that this out of context cips 'changes its meaning' and makes it 'misinformation' means that by his very own definition the clip is transformative and thus fair use. This is exactly the same as the sargon case which DID go to court and sargon DID win because simply taking footage and reposting it in a way that makes the original creator look bad IS critique and IS transformative.

Re: Apollo Legend, I'm reluctant to say he caused his suicide. He "caused" it the same way we "caused" Chloe Sagal and Julie Terryberry's suicides (and Byuu isn't dead). Asmongold produces reaction content and had been one of the targets of Matt's anti-react crusade. According to Karl, Matt completely cut ties with him after the sponsored video dropped, even though they had spoken just days prior and seemed to be on good terms.

Man, if that's completely accurate, that's just such a shitty, unnecessary move from Viper. An actual adult would at the very least have a convo with that person to discuss their grievances if it was such a big deal to them.

He always seemed like a ticking time bomb due to his temper even before the among us shit happened, but it's still sad to see that he ended up this way. Some of his clips ended up on my homepage a long time ago, and I thought he was a funny guy, but after delving a bit deeper into his stuff I saw that he wasn't playing a character when he chimped out - he was just legitimately like that. Noped the fuck out after that.

It must be so exhausting to live like him. So quick to ditch longstanding friendships, constantly purity testing everyone you see and trying to uphold some moral high ground that literally nobody sane cares about, not even people who are on his side.
