I found the headline "Why Nerds Hate Furries" pretty amusing, I don't think any of the reasons listed involved public debauchery and ruining hotel venues.

Didn't ArtDecade used to be a libertarian like a decade ago?

I remember people not liking his politics on FA back in the late 2000's, even though his art remained popular.

Also, as I said in the Deo thread, I am very curious about this guy's views on Jews and Israel, since he's so keen on holding up Le Happy Merchant as proof of how disgusting the AltFurries are.

I'm just saying it would not look good on him if he were as antisemitic as the people he's claiming to fight.

Yes, Artdecade used to be libertarian. It may be hard to find evidence now but your best bet is FA. I remember him and Prawst having an argument and he drew something to commemorate said argument. Don't know how hard that would be to find though.

I think I remember them having an argument that caused some minor drama. Prawst is a cool dude. Probably one of the few Tumblr blogs I follow specifically for political commentary, since he's equally critical of both the left and the right, and is very skilled at debate. I just remember a lot of furries griping about lolbertarian furries, and lumping in ArtDecade with the likes of Jay Naylor, who probably comes off as almost moderate in comparison to AltFurries.

Life was so much simpler back then.

My favorite part is the comic, which features more preachy, crammed in text than a Chick Tract and art that looks like it's from a page of How to Bomb the US Government.

So far this issue's topped my expectations. There's a delusional rant about cops that acts as if the USA is some war torn country, there's a rant about why a fandom about wanting to fuck animal people has to be about real world politics, and an article that claims the real reason furries are shat on by the internet is because they're queer communists or some shit like that.

I'll say this: if you show up to a public event spouting racist epitaphs or dressing up like a Nazi, then you'd better be prepared for the inevitable backlash. Hell, it's not even so much about POC or queer people. Pretty much everybody hates Nazis. You're entitled to have your horrible opinions, but almost nobody at a fucking furry con is going to want to hear them. People like the Furry Raiders are pretty much in it just to get a reaction and test the limits of what's acceptable behavior, and people have been banned from cons for life for less than the shit they pull.

That being said, if you show up to a con dressed a communist, spouting far left political opinions, don't think that you're somehow immune to the same kind of backlash. It's almost like most people don't approve of extremist political ideologies at their cartoon animal porn con.
