He's not cow material, that is, unless you take his Diet Coke away. Then the sperging will commence. I've followed this douche for years as he's in the circle of YouTubers I do enjoy. If you take him serious you are in fact autistic, but he's not a cow in the sense of the term, IMO. And those who ask "Does he really talk\sound like that IRL?". Yes, Yes he does.

EDIT: Btw, he records all of his voiceovers in his closet......

Wow I'm surprised this appeared here. MatPat's been on a lot of Ace Attorney fans' shit lists as of late. His recent Game Theory, Phoenix Wright is a CRIMINAL, is probably the most cringe inducing thing I've ever had the displeasure of watching. As an Ace Attorney fan, it's funny to watch MatPat make decisions about the game, as if he rushed through the first four cases and stopped. All of his points are easily refutable if you gave a damn about Ace Attorney and played through all the games.
Overall, he's just retarded and he's running out of ideas. He thinks that he can make a point by talking about very basic concepts of law in both the USA and Japan, and acting as if he's the only one who ever came up with it.

EDIT: His theory about Discovery Law and anything that has to do with evidence in court can be completely thrown out. Case 1-5, Rise from the Ashes, introduces something called Evidence Law. Basically it has two rules.
  • Rule 1: No evidence shall be shown without the approval of the Police Department.
  • Rule 2: Unregistered evidence presented must be relevant to the case in trial.
So any of his theories regarding illegal evidence can be thrown out of the bus he lives on. Funny, considering the last case is the longest one in the game and is heavily important to getting the true criminal to admit his crimes.

just to throw in my opinion, i've enjoyed most of his videos and i don't personally think there's all that much to see here. i'd like to think MatPat has a decent sense of humour when it comes to his videos and knows a lot of stuff that he says is really out there or obviously not true. The theories are meant to sound crazy, and it's even part of his catchphrase 'that's just a theory', so i dunno, i think this one doesn't really meet the lolcow requirements.

That said, if he does provide milk then ignore all of the above.

I'll admit, I'm a Game Theory/MatPat fan, but lately his videos have been kind of...lacking. I think it's a combination of him both letting his fame go to his head and him trying to do too many things at once. All that being said though, I don't know if he qualifies as a lolcow. Yeah it is admittedly kind of autistic to be a grown man who makes his living overanalyzing video games, but he doesn't really chimp from what I've seen.

His old videos used to be actual theories with evidence to back them up. Eventually he just ran out of theories regarding games, thus he started making them up. To say that Ness from Mother is Sans from Undertale is just stupid. It's not a theory because those are two completely separate IPs and the only reason he's making it is because Toby made an Earthbound hack. It's less of making milk, and more of just watching this guy who met the fucking pope make idiotic decisions and straight up lie about video games.

I dunno, just because this guy doesn't have the history of being a cow doesn't mean he doesn't have the potential to become one. I mean he exhibits cow like symptoms of the that attention addiction and has had a track record of being blatantly ignorant to how wrong he is. Sounds like mooing to me.

Maybe he just needs a bit of poking to get the milk flowing.

yeah, i'd definitely agree with that. to be completely honest i haven't seen any of his newer videos, just because i generally lost interest. probably what i said before applies more to his older videos, but i think also a lot of what people are saying about his behaviour comes from him needing to get the videos out. e.g. i quite liked the first fnaf theory because i'm a giant autist, but i think the following videos (especially 3 and 4) were so out there because the fans expected a theory and he was scrambling for one.

TL: DR i don't really think he believes in the theories he puts out.

This thread was a long time coming.
I think what pushes him into the realm of being a lolcow is how he says that his theories prove what is actually going on, he can't really accept criticism.
In relation to other "lolcows" like Mr. Enter, this guy is way better, because he has good editing, much more stupid videos, and has more clout in the youtube hierarchy.
