At this point I unironically think the family should be broken up and all the kids should be put in foster homes for their safety.
Vickers has a self destructive need to get revenge on Ralph, he's knowingly putting his family at risk, one of the things he was afraid of happened, and continues the behavior despite being shown the risk.
