Call me optimistic, but given that the Vickers (allegedly) offered Ralph the same plea deal - minus the no-contest aspect, although this has no bearing on the case legally from what I can ascertain - this may be more to do with the ensuing custody dispute over Xander. Which is going to be a far more significant than the measly month or two tops Ralph would have been on the hook for - if that!

The next season of the Gunt is going to be a doozy.

It really is a case of Ralph winning the battle, but losing the war. This entire case was him losing the war, because if he genuinely wants to be a father to his son instead of sacking up, owning up to his mistakes and trying to set things right he made this a needlessly nasty fight. He will probably realise this as soon as the family court case starts.

Quick question: When the suspended sentence is up in a year is that it? Assuming he gets through it with no problems that is. Does it go to a probation period afterward or is it "you served your time, see ya"?

Ralph might be blowing thousands of dollars in Vegas out of stress but he atleast enjoys his time in Vegas. How many of the Vickers kids college funds are now gone cause their sister couldn't keep her dumb legs closed? He has to much pride to ever take a job he views it as beneath him and as if that wasn't enough he's to lazy to get up at a normal hour and work 8 hours. I don't even think Ralph can stand for 8 hours. Its welfare or crime for him in the future.

For all the good it did them to be physically in the court they could have gone to Disneyland another 3-4 times.
