I've said from the very beginning of this feud between the two that Mr. Vickers was merely using the legal system as a weapon to financially drain Ralph and bring him to financial ruin. What Vickers failed to comprehend is that other people and entities who have a track record of successfully doing that tend to be successful because they have an excess amount of money that allows them to do so.

Financially they can take the loss battling others in court because the loss they are suffering is fairly minuscule in terms of their overall wealth and future earnings. Vickers on the other hand was attempting to do this as your average, run of the mill middle-class schlub. To bring down Ralph financially via weaponization of the legal system meant that Vickers would be taking himself down as well.

Ralph is both the luckiest and unluckiest person to have groomed a girl whose father is as big of a retard as he is.

Specifically, the quotes about $100K being the purchase when that was just the initial deposit, then another $50K, and hadn't known about the gold for $25K (that he actually received). So I thought (incorrectly) that he'd purchased $100K worth of silver but was suing for $125K.

He is suing for that, but that's actually just what he paid.

The full complaint wasn't available when I made my initial speculations, just the snips showing a $100k purchase and damages of $125k. I just knew silver/gold prices had skyrocketed since the last time I'd heard Vickers' name and they have by close to 50%.

That's a convenient narrative to run with. It wouldn't surprise me if it's even true to a degree. I think Matt was just terrible with money. From PS5s for every guntlicker and regular trips to Disneyland on layaway, to paying Cog and Dan to beat up Ralph. He's just stupid arrogant white trash with better than average criminal low cunning. He could have stayed a bank teller or whatever. Not a bad job and eventually he'd move up to assistant manager, then branch manager, and possibly beyond.

What's telling to me is that Matt abandoned this stable and respectable career. He deserved more. He demanded more. Weren't there stories about how shady the original coinshop owner was? Maybe even lawsuits? He chose to steal the business and it was another pillar in bringing him to ruin. His terrible parenting was the second pillar. His arrogance, the last. When both Nick Reiketa and Vickers came on the scene I initially gave them both the benefit of the doubt, based on what turned out to be false assumptions.

Both presented themselves as successful small business owners, home owners and fathers of five kids. To run your own business well enough that you can comfortably raise and support a large family requires a considerable level of professionalism, discipline and responsibility. So it seemed super bizarre to me when both these guys started behaving like spastic retards.

It all makes sense now because Matt was just a shady, midwit con man trying to keep 20 plates spinning at one time before it all came crashing down and Nick was just living off a trust fund.

I do think Nicky Rackets would be in a very similar situation to Vickers right now if he didn’t have his trust fund safety net.

I could almost see the family vacays at gun point to ensure Matt is getting his “money’s worth.” The photos of poor Xander being taken to Disney as a newborn said it all. It did make me believe he ran a coin shop, not a pawn store, because I can’t ever see a pawn broker falling for a time share scam.

The world of coin collecting attracts such a wide array of people and assorted weirdos. Everyone from astute collectors, hobbyists, autists and weirdos. I think Vickers is just a shady midwit who thought he could grift off the weirdos and the people who who fall for ads and scams that convince them to sink all their savings in various coins and precious metals schemes.

He’s a just schemer, who falls for schemes, because he’s moron. All his half-baked schemes and shady dealings are just catching up with him.

I do wonder how much his wife knows about all his shady financial dealings. I think being a fat chronic illness woman ensured she didn’t pay too much attention - until emergency situations arose and she’d accept his lies because the alternative was the current situation.
