Vickers is definitely a shady scam artist.

Interesting that both Vickers, and Nick Reikta, had low level jobs at banks in their 20’s. A few years working at a bank taught Vickers just enough to think he was a genius and start scamming people, lenders, coin collectors and various finance corps.

Consider Matt’s current position.

How is Vickers surviving? Is he squatting in his foreclosed house trying to make payments? Keeping ahead of the repo man trying to take his used stang? He’s feuding with own brother who he had some sort of “partnership” with him at the Rocklin coin shop. Now his brother Chad, and his wife April, are running “Encore Gold & Coin,” a flimsy looking strip mall shop of very dubious origins. (LOL if Chad did to Matt what Matt did the the previous coin store owner.)

Matt’s only option is using his son to try to hide and sell coin shop assets he does have possession of and bumming off his mother (the same one who is housing Faith).

I think the main reason he filed that lawsuit against Arianna was he was furious her accusations cost him a possible job with the county govt (and he fears what else she knows about his financial fraud.) But he was very desperate to get a real JOB because he’s not just broke, he buried under mountains of debt too and is untouchable credit wise. He was using the most desperate predatory lending places to get money a few years ago, so his days of scamming lenders for cash are over. He’s run out of scamming options under his own name and selling coins at flea markets and eBay isn’t going to support himself and Ethan.

Even if they didn’t kill the GF’s husband I guarantee Matt is using his name and SS# to try and bilk a few lenders before he’s listed on the SS death index. Unfortunately Satanist girlfriend looks like the 600 FICO type, but even so I’m sure Matt can do wonders with any fresh name, SS# and opening new accounts.

Matt strikes me as the type of man who kids will all be astonished to find they have a terrible credit score when they turn 18 and debt collectors have been after them for years.

Vickers has been surviving for the past fifteen years running one shady finance scam after another, but he’s run out of road now. A new girlfriend, and her dead husband, could be very useful to a desperate con man. I’m sure he’s carefully going over lots of paperwork with the new widow.

Most people try to carefully and sensitively word posts about suicide, but she is trying very hard to make sure everyone understands it was suicide by a man long plagued with “mental health challenges”. But Don’t worry she has a “great support system!!” Her new boyfriend is taking care of all these pesky details and paperwork for her, he’s been a real blessing in her time of grief

You know, Vickers is being so stupid that it makes me wonder if he's on something. Did he look at Ralph's various drunken/drugged out episodes and think, "Hm... how come Ralph gets to drink and do drugs but I can't?"

Mr. Vickers, if that's the case you should bring back The Good, The Bad and The Vicious. I mean I wouldn't watch it or anything, but I'd definitely watch a clip of a drunken meltdown.

Same. Financial scammers aren’t usually this pants on head retarded. His behavior and actions are hard to comprehend without substance abuse factoring into it in the last few years.

OTOH he’s stupid and seems like he had been doing the same shady shit for a decade and was running out of runway and options. He had no new ways to scam while all the old scams were finally catching up with him. He was in a desperate situation.

Stealing $100k in silver from a senior citizen to help fund his podcasting career, instead catching up on mortgage payments, might seem like good plan to a really wet brain alcoholic that likes to smoke crack.

I have visions of him sending his GF and son into pawn stores in Sacramento to sell off old coin store inventory, that he financed and never paid for, to get cash fast food and drugs.

I mean where did all money go Matt? Not to any mortgage, car or debt payments. Certainly not to any dentist or lawyers either.
