Jack is not a lolcow, and I feel he's a worthwhile member of RLM in general, but man, are his personal views (beyond even politics) just infuriating. Since it's mostly just him and Rich Evans brainfarting through most Pre-Rec uploads, that's where the worst of it comes out.
I never really got why people dislike Jack so much. Granted, I don't watch Pre-Rec but he always came off as fairly nice and unoffensive (in the best way possible) to me.

, Max Landis is so subsumed by an appearance on a small-time internet film review site that they overshadow him even in his own lolcow thread.
Also this. I love that everyone would rather talk about RLM than this dude.

I noticed it when he first mentioned his problem with emulators during a Best of the Worst. "They don't... move right!" And I was just rolling my eyes, like "Come on, dude, they're exactly the same." I got a lot about the kind of person he was just from that and wasn't impressed.
Then it turned out he was exactly that type that annoys me when I started with Pre-Rec, but apart from that, I like him as a member of the group and would miss him if he wasn't around.
It's very clear that everyone else, Mike, Jay and Rich disagree with almost everything he says, yet he's still their friend and a valuable member of their business.

I feel the same way. I have friends in real life too that I would absolutely detest on paper, yet somehow we stay friends. There are other traits to people than what you might disagree on.

Yes he is credited as the creator and writer.

The books were pretty good, I enjoyed them. But Max Landis' involvement with the show is the reason why I never bothered to watch.

It's actually a great show. Probably the best thing he's ever done. It's nothing like the books though. Just takes the very basic premise of a detective named Dirk Gently and "random," insane things happening that end up being absurdly connected by the end of the case.

Jack and Josh are really the only ones who use social media. I bet everybody at RLM is a liberal. Mike, Jay, and Rich probably have great appreciation towards the like of Hillary Clinton, but they know that shit makes for a boring show so they don't share it online and make jokes about Star Wars instead.

how are people on here disagreeing with this? it's so fucking obvious that they're liberal as shit if you watch enough of their reviews. not "402 different genders" type of liberal, but still liberal.

The only time i've really rolled my eyes at jack was during a WOTW episode with "Learn Gun safety with Eddie Eagle" a video endorsed by the NRA and he still gave the NRA a hard time.

I didn't like Josh since the first time i saw him so not surprised he's sjw, Max landis' appearance just scares me..

Well Rich stated quite clearly on pre-rec that he thought both Trump and Hillary were bullshit candidates and he just didn't bother to vote because he didn't like any of his options.

RLM to me are the sensible types. They know either extreme is bullshit.

So long as someone understands that, they can 'technically' classify as anything and I don't care. What annoys me about Jack is not that he's "liberal", it's the fact he displays traits akin to the extreme left/SJWs, whatever you want to call them that is fiercely dislike.

Rich, on the other hand, doesn't give two shits about being PC, mostly the same as Mike and Jay, which is extremely admirable. They don't pander to get new fans, they get them because they don't look down on the audience and don't really care if you disagree or not.

We need to out them as secret liberals so people know to avoid watching them and risk having their minds polluted with their liberalism.

Some goings on. I'll try to keep it as short and concise as possible.

Recently Vulture released a profile about Max that also mentioned the time Lexi Alexander (part time director, full time screaming twitter SJW) attacked him (by name) "for being indicative of the way a ‘mediocre screenwriter’ can be rewarded by Hollywood because he’s white and male"

Apparently Max, back then, wanted to reply and found out he was blocked by her already so, being a fucking weirdo, he made a video sucking up to her and begging for her to talk to him

Lexi saw the Vulture profile and had this to say

"Love these articles about Max Landis that state how I "attacked" him but say nothing about the weird stalker video he posted about me"

"Of course it's more fun to write about the angry Arab woman who attacked the poor white chap out of nowhere. Good journalism."
archive

And The Mary Sue released a way too fucking long rant (I refused to call this an article) about it.

Some more tweets from Alexander about this. Do bear in mind that she was the one who talked about him first, and they're both people working in the film/tv industry. Her talking about him is fine, but him responding online is bad and creepy and REEEE. I do like how she quoted something from de Becker (probably from The Gift of Fear - a book literally about trusting your instincts to avoid rape and physical violence. Never change, twitter activists, never change) :story:

I had to un-follow Lexi on Twitter because she seemed insane when it came to politics/common sense. Which is really funny when you consider that for a PC-Liberal she made a very, very un-PC movie:

An extreme Left Liberal being hypocritical? Shocking I know.

Lol she's the kind of person who screams about harassment and patriarchy every single time her own actions aren't met with completely "polite and warm" responses.

So I guess all I have to do to get a Hollywood career is just walk in to some exec's office, slam down my white dick, and say "I'm white and male where's my bag of money?"

Or maybe the fact that his dad is John Landis has something to do with it.

I just want to say that John Landis is a cool-ass guy. Very down to earth, great director (or was a great director) and has an appreciation for B movie schlock which is always appreciated.

Too bad about Twilight Zone.

And too bad his son can be very insufferable.

Yep. That's how white men get jobs in general in a sjw world view.

Ho ho hey hey, white dicks are here to stay

Someone slap this faggot and make him work a shitty menial job for once in his shitbag life.

He said he worked at a McDonald's when his dad sent him to reform school.

I just remember recently in a interview John Landis revealed he told Max not to go through with the remake of American werewolf in london due to the shit storm it would cause.

He should remake The Twilight Zone starring Rob Schneider.
