Liars are usually very light on detail. Or the reverse, but bizarrely so, but that's rare. Sometimes when I'm getting someone to recount a bullshit story, I'll get them to pull back the narrative to before the point of fabrication. If the story then involves five minutes of detail about how they arrived at wherever, and then dissolves into vagueness, it's usually bullshit, IME.

That's likely the case. He has quite a reputation as being a horrible "boyfriend". Prone to obnoxious head games and narcissism. He's unquestionably a complete asshole. But this ex-girlfriend is trying to carefully twist that into him being a "rapist" without actually saying so. It's a shit move. It's pure manipulation that makes her as much of an asshole as he is, and destroys any of her credibility about anything.
