I was thinking about this earlier. She is so screwed if she ever has to actually work. At her weight, she isn't capable of doing any of the jobs that would be available to her at her education and experience level. In fact, AL, Eric, and Becky are not in great shape here. They are in their late 20's with no education that I'm aware of (except unaccredited) and now they have massive gaps in their employment. HR isn't going to take "youtuber" as a sufficient excuse for as big of a gap as AL now has and Becky doesn't even have that excuse. AL can't go on disability because she'd have to go to a doctor and actually admit that she's not ok. Same goes for Eric since I sincerely doubt he's been diagnosed with anything relating to his debilitating social anxiety that keeps him from working. Becky has no leg to stand on whatsoever. They're all in one big bucket of fucked together.

Every day a new mark finds Amber due to her tag strategy (even when she isn't talking about weight loss, she uses those tags). Those people are roped in by simplistic arguments like "they hate me because I'm fat". They can relate to Amber because they too, to some extent, use their weight as an excuse to be shitty, tell people they're cunts and kys - but that's OK because they're defending Amber, hence they are good people. Lastly, the ambabies probably also have a hard time losing weight.

Initially the fans will defend her, and show their asses in the process, despite all the inconsistencies and cracks Amber shows. Eventually they can't deny reality anymore and screencaps like Amber liking comments while she claims she doesn't read them might be the one thing that makes people see the truth.

She hasn't addressed it, and I'm not even sure if she's aware: I don't think she understands that living the way she does she would keep on gaining (akin to a small kid who gets excited about Christmas as soon as December starts, but thinks the 25th will never come because it's so far away).
I think Amber doesn't want to gain more, and at this point her weight is taking its toll, but I don't think she wants to lose.

Her excuses about the therapist are pathetic. The secretary isn't going to tell you about how much it costs, etc etc cause it's usually different for each therapist. From my experience, the counsellor/therapist rents out an office from a company that offers counselling. You make a free short appointment to discuss with the therapist what their specialty is, how much they charge an hour, and briefly discuss your issues. After that, you can decide if the therapist is the right fit for you and if you want to book a real appointment. And if she's just rolling in the sweet YouTube money, then cost shouldn't be an issue.

Again, she's just avoiding anything that is even slightly unpleasant. She's really quite fascinating in that way. I've never seen a person who avoids any form of responsibility so well.

It's just unimaginable to me that someone her size doesn't want to lose at least 200 pounds of that fat. But you're probably right. I mean, AL has been gaining ever since she started the YT channel. She was talking about losing weight 150 pounds ago. And now she pats herself on the back for not fucking gaining weight at 500 pounds.

But you're right about her maybe not understanding weight creep. The funny thing is - you'd think she should. In Nov., 2015, she weighted 434 pounds and proclaimed she would never be bigger than that (she promises you that). Yeah. Fucking. Right. By April, 2016, she fucking ballooned to 468 pounds. Bitch gained 34 pounds in a span of a few months.

To be honest, it all plays out the same every year:

AL gains weight > AL becomes mortified with her weight > AL promises to go on a diet > AL talks up this magnificent plan that is finally going to help her get the control she needs > AL begins plan, wants asspats > AL gives up within days/weeks and binges > AL cries about failing but promises it's a journey > AL gains, gains, gains > AL becomes mortified with her weight, which is now a new high for her ... and start the cycle over again.

It's been like this since Day One of her YT channel. It won't ever end. Until she does. And that's going to come sooner rather than later.

I've seen photos of Amber as a child, and there is at least one in this sub. Even as a child she was huge. I don't think she remembers a time when she wasn't morbidly obese.

Since the original thread started people have been wondering why her line in the sand about weight was 500lb. I suspect that is because she never knew what normal was (from a few vids, she gives the impression that anyone under 200lb is too skinny), so she came up with a number that is for anyone with half a brain, absurdly high, but to her is what fat is (I'm not sure I'm making sense, sorry) - anything lower than 500lb is chubby, above it is fat.
