Cheers, this has been bugging me for a while. She also hasn't been known to tell Chris "no" or have him face any consequences. After all, in her selfish worldview, that could reflect badly on her and her parenting. That doesn't make it not rape, it just probably explains how a few photos of an apparently relatively unaccompanied Chris can exist. Barring the AI theory I guess.

One bit of speculation that makes my skin crawl is that she might not even be mentally present enough to remember or understand why Chris is gone from the house and her life now. Honestly I'm glad there's some details I'll never know.

I don’t think she gives a rat’s ass what people think about her or her parenting. Remembering all the conspiracy theory junk about the county being after her family, something attached to that seems more likely.

I can explain it: it’s the normal thing to do. Why would they pay someone to hold Chris’s arm while he shops? He’s not a drooling moron, he knows how to behave in a store and usually chooses to behave well.

We truly don’t know. She was living alone at 14blc after the arrest and was seen going about her day as usual (even driving, though that led to disaster later that year). But there’s already been enough speculation about Barb’s brain activity in other threads without it spreading here as well.

Chris is on "SSDI", Social Security Disability Insurance, not regular ol' SSI.

As of 2022, Virginia's SSDI payment is: $1,371.15

Aside from chris claiming this is his sonichu color scheme it also happens to be the official vault-tec color scheme. So, does that mean that ultimately it wasn't the enclave who was behind vault-tec's experiments and all the crazy shit they did but the CPU goddess? Sonichu started the great war to get rid of all those slow in the mind super mutants?

Also makes me think chris would fit right in with sinseer, spending all his tugboat on vault-tec skins for all his shit in fallout 76 then wandering around appalachia ranting about sonichu and about how he's a goddess. I mean its fitting considering it is set in virginia after all. Perhaps building an in-game version of his temple out in the woods and hoarding everything he can find until somebody comes along with a flamer and burns the whole thing down

He may have gotten a portion of Bob's Social Security payments under the survivor benefits provision similar to Barb. Disabled children identified as such before age 22 can collect similar to the spouse.

Pensions are generally limited to the individual and stop at death unless Bob's pension had a joint & survivor benefit option he had elected. In that case, the pension payments will continue at a reduced amount (usually 50%) until Barb dies. Chris will get nothing from the pension unless the J&S provision also includes disabled dependents.

There have been a number of COLAs since then. So unless he somehow fucked up his SSDI while in jail (preconviction time wouldn't ordinarily cancel it), he should be getting this year's increase too. Not bad for someone who barely worked a day in his life and would never have qualified for SSDI on his own work record.

10.50 is roughly 115 Sek or 9 euros 70, and that would get one a big mac meal, or six half litre cans of beer, or two beers in a cheaper pub, as some rough examples.

Sweden doesn't technically have a set minimum wage, but you should not put up with any less than 150 sek an hour.

It varies where Euros are spent.

It’s about the same here, though the prices are worse all the time and it’s easy to be gouged if you’re not careful. A six pack of beer from the store, a decent lunch for one person, a couple of cheap beers in a pub should all be about $10, but in the last couple years these are all getting harder to find at that price.
