I believe that this person went to school with Chris precisely because they don't have any juicy stories.

If you were the type of maniac to lie about knowing Chris-chan, you'd say something like "He tried to rape me with a Sonichu dildo he made in art class, lol! Then he shit his pants."

Personally I'm surprised/disappointed that more people haven't come forward with anecdotes about seeing Chris sitting at lunch or whatever.

if at any rate it is real, and he deleted his posts, I don't call BS on it, but it sheds some light on some things. And the reddit post is going strong still I posted that thing about 12 hours ago.

The closest we have in that regard is a brief encounter with Kellie Andes:

I never liked Christian in [the context of a deeper relationship]. Christian is def. not my type nor has he ever been.
Yeah but unfortunately all she said was something anybody except Chris could've guessed.

I know the Chris story is fake, but I absolutely loved that reddit thread. Lots of laughs.

Hopefully this guy didn't get swarmed with PMs about some guy he knew of over a decade ago.

Ha ha, you know he did.

You know, the part about him being isolated from most social functions might explain some of the confusion about whether Chris went to his prom or some kind of graduation party.

That's a great theory. I wonder if Chris was secretly barred from his real prom.

it's the only sensible decision the school could make

My theory is that they held a separate decoy prom for him to keep him distracted while all the cool kids had some hey-hey-fun with their dates at the real prom.

The school went to all the effort to divert (not ban outright, but divert) one single sped-but-not-sped kid from a prom, and the entire student body and faculty were in cahoots to make it so?

A bit hard to swallow. The last a school needs is to give someone reason to sue, and this time, if this scenario was so, Bob 'n' Barb could claim the high ground.

Yeah, I can't imagine anything official (meaning orchestrated by the faculty or prom committee) keeping Chris from attending the prom. I'm guessing it was a combination of Chris not having a date (and not yet interested in dating), the prom being on a Friday/Saturday night at a time when Chris's routine dictated he be at hime, and Chris being too stupid to realize the day party he attended was not, in fact, the prom. I'm not sure which of these factors was a bigger deal, but the combined circumstances would result in Chris not going to the prom.

This was all obviously part of the vast Greene County Conspiracy. *yawn*

That's some Chandler level logic right there *yawn*

I've been wondering about the "seinor prom" for a while, because the pictures from whatever event Chris attended look nothing like the prom I went to my junior and senior years of high school.

Here's a random picture of a prom gathering that I pulled off of GIS for those on the CWCki who aren't familiar with American high school customs. The boys have jackets and bow ties, the girls are wearing formal dresses and heels, corsages were bought.

Contrast to Chris's prom:

Very casual style of dress and footwear for the girls, guys wearing ties without jackets, etc.

I think Chris conflated prom with a homecoming dance.

Maybe Chris is right about living in a one horse town and that just IS their pathetic prom. Held in the local VFW, in the middle of the day, and all the girls have to wear shoes that are a million inches tall.

I think they just had both a prom and a graduation party, and Chris went to the graduation party, and was told that would be "like [his] prom."

I lived in an area where they had to combine five towns, six including the reservation, to get enough kids to fill a high school, and even we had a formal prom. Though maybe with other events being bigger in the South (debutante shit, does that still exist?) maybe prom isn't a big deal there.

If Georgia can still have segregated proms into the 2010s, then "debutante shit"/formality must be the name of the game at Southern proms.

So I guess it's official. Who wants to tell Chris his prom wasn't the prom?

There were apparently a bunch of end-of-year events: the prom, the after-prom, the seinor banquet, the prayer session before the seinor banquet, and who knows what else. The one or two pics we have of THE prom seem a bit more formal with bow ties and fancier hair. I don't think it's impossible that Chris's pictures are from the after-prom though.
