MCU Television and Animation Series on Disney + - WandaVision, FATWS, Loki, etc

That is my concern tbh.

I am planning on watching these until they get REALLY unbearable...which I predict will take at least a year.
Personally for me it's more that the series just kind of looks mid next to something like Wandavision. It's understandable that not everything in the MCU is gonna be cosmic powers and dead husbands, but good chemistry between the two leads aside Falcon and WS isn't really selling itself to me via trailers so far. I imagine the full thing will probably do better.

Wandavision keeps trying to make think of the only man making rational choices as the bad guy. The one from Captain Marvel is fucking annoying, Kat Dennings character is an astronomist? and the FBI guy is also pointless. So far all they have done is sit there and play devils advocate for a woman that has kidnapped and is actively torturing an entire town.

"BuT sHE FeElS AlOne!"

I'm sure Bin Laden felt pretty lonely as well living in a cave. They should have dropped Wanda the moment she demonstrated she had control over the magic doom field. Not try and empathise with her.

Trying to kill someone who has chaos powers rather than talking her down would do more harm than good. Monica is absolutely right in that assessment, even if she is coddling Wanda right now.

We have no idea if it does more harm than good; the only things we know (as in the SHIELD guy, but also us actually) is that Wanda is actively using her powers to alter and control people; and is actively using her powers to remove people when they realise what is going on.

If she's dead she can't do that; and if she can do that when she's dead she's basically god and you may as well at that point go home. Monica at best has stockholm and is projecting her own grief and at worst is acting actively malicious in letting Wanda continue.

There's still a wrinkle in all this we haven't sussed out yet though. Who told Wanda where to find Vision's body? Who increased her powers to this level? The commericial for this episode has basically solved this for me, but I'm not sure how obvious it is for other people.

It's Mephisto. The commercial has a boy alone and empty (two things Wanda described herself as in the episode) and a shark (i.e. a predator) takes advantage of the situation to give the boy some food to make him better. He dies trying to open it because he's too weak from hunger. It's a deal designed to hurt the individual who takes it with the promise of making them better and it's exactly Mephisto's MO. Also the flavour of the thing is strawberry, a fruit that's the same colour as Mephisto. That one is probably just a coincidence though.

True. I reckon it's the black guy since he was the one asking if she needed anything changing; but that might have just been a 'blooper reel' sort of thing, like they did with agnes.

Herb's a real dude, he had an ID on the wall back in an earlier episode (unlike Agnes or Dottie for that matter). People have speculated it's Pietro, but I don't know if I agree with that because he's asking way too many questions for someone who you'd think would try to stay in the shadows.

He might just be body surfing then? Or be the energy field itself.

It's going to be great when they recast Wolverine. There's no way it won't be awful. Jackman being cast was just pure luck and chance. They'll never be able to replicate it and you just know they'll make some dumb choice. A non-manly pretty boy, with one of those ripped bodies that don't look manly at all.
There have been rumors over the last couple of years that Henry Cavill's supposedly on the short list for possibly taking over the role of Wolverine for all future Disney films. Supposedly Cavill's been approached by Marvel/offered the role outright, but between Witcher and wanting to get the Snyder cut of JLA made/one more outing as Superman to try and salvage his run as the character, have kept Marvel from getting him locked down.

He's a bit tall for Wolverine isn't he? He'd make a better Cyclops.

Latest episode of Wandavision is out, it must not have impressed or everyone's busy with other stuff. I'm seeing the second.
Elizabeth Olson looked really cute in the authentic Scarlet Witch outfit.
It was ok, but it felt like a step back. Almost like trying to explain the inner workings of the fantasy world Wanda has created, still trying to build up mystery but I think that we're way past beyond that. I don't know what where they're going with Evan Peters' Quicksilver because he apparently still is the same guy that died in Age of Ultron, not the X-Men Quicksilver.

I am going to call this the "SWORD" principle for WandaVision. The more SWORD nonsense is in an episode, the worse the episode gets. I just don't know why they couldn't help themselves and just contain the episodes to Wanda and Vision, that's the actually good and interesting shit everyone wants to watch.
The whole SWORD business feels like lazy worldbuilding. They're trying to signal really hard that they're the new SHIELD but I could frankly give less of a fuck about it. When SHIELD was introduced, it was as a gradual thing that was eventually expanded upon the Avengers. In here, I just groan every time they show up because I'm more interested in what's going inside Wanda's world than outside it.

I liked both Monica and the SWORD stuff when they were first introduced but now it just feels really fucking stupid. I see no reason why we should like and side with Monica beyond "Well, she's a protagonist and Hayward is an antagonist and that's how stories work, soooo...."

The Monica and Hayward conflict is such an uninspired plot that doesn't need to be there. The sad thing is that while I was watching the episode, I was thinking of a way in which it immediately would've been more interesting: Hayward slips a tape recorder inside Monica before she is escorted away. When Monica hears it, it's Hayward saying that he doesn't trust his own organization and is letting her go so she can act on herself since he thinks SWORD is compromised. Fucking lazy, I know, but at least it would make it a bit more interesting.

Imo Aaron Taylor Johnson is going to come back. In some form. Also Dr Strange. Originally DS2 was supposed to be a horror film starring him and Wanda but Disney put the kibosh on that. The new rumor is that she is the antagonist since the film has the "Multiverse" subtitle in it

Let's be real how the hell can you make a Horror movie with 2 of the most powerful people in the MCU? In my mind, Disney made the right call with that one.

I don't know why you're spoiler blocking the premise of a cancelled film.

But yeah, watch any Sam Raimi horror movie for a primer on how a Doctor Strange/Scarlett Witch horror flick would look.

There's a rumour that Chris Evans as The Human Torch is gonna be in it. Frankly, I believe it since they're probably going to go fucking nuts with this one.
