I rolled my eyes, but didn't really get super upset about the ICE animation when it came out because I can still watch people whom I don't agree with politically. But derailing a video on a completely different topic is just cringe.

If Hunter keeps going down this path, it might unironically be the start of his leftist lolcow arc, similar to how idubbbz. Start off as apolitical, slowly venture into politics, alienate loyal fanbase, cultivate an audience that only wants lefty politics, lose relevancy, go broke, become a laughing stock.

I know how he pick buckees as a topic, there was a rumor on reddit that Buckees was donating money to Ice. It wasn't true. Buckees said it was untrue and so he clearly heard about it so he didn't bring it up in the video.
Do we know how this affected him if at all? I doubt it has but I know that people can't contact him on Twitter because he deleted it, how are his other socials? Dose he have a bluesky account?

My question is, how is he going to say fuck ice and taking the blanket reddit opinion of ice = fascism while at the same time he's friends with Wendigoon who is friends with and directly connected to the Pepperbox/Unsubscribe Podcast guys, all of whom have a bunch of right wing pro-ICE politics and fucking Brandon Herrera is running for office with that position. It's like doing a podcast with somebody who shows up on black and white television to talk to Hitler about dogs or veganism or something, enough to crucify someone in modern reddit politics.

Hint hint, he won't ever address it because Wendi is both more popular, longer lasting, and is actually relatively politically neutral instead of reddit pseudo intellectual sneering "neutral". Papameat may get more views on animations, but those are a flashpan and still somehow lose out in quality vs quantity versus Wendi's extensively researched videos.

Plus Wendigoon is a better host and the only reason why I can occasionally watch a creep cast episode. Honestly papameat annoys me more at being meh to just plain bad as a host. Sure he's probably a great friend yada yada but I can't stand him struggling through presenting a story or making a unfunny joke.
 
People are really this mad that Meat has the exact political opinions they already knew he did, and just now deciding they've had enough of him being an ignorant, barely literate degen. I lol.

Probably a great way to set yourself on the path to being a cow, since it's blatantly political and one sided. But he doesn't engage and lives in a bubble, so how much will it really impact him? The vast majority of his fanbase shares his opinions on these topics as well, so there's that. And it's not like Wendigoon's audience is any different either. Goon himself might be down with it, on some level, but he's also not gonna rock the boat with the thing that's become his gravy train because his friend has a different opinion.
That'd be retarded on many levels unless Goon just really felt so passionately about illegals getting booted, something he's not impacted by in any sort of way either, that he's willing to lose almost an extra million dollars a year from patreon* and a friend over it. I do look forward to more politisperging from Hunter. Will be very easy to make fun of. I'd like a genuine crashout for the lolz like anyone else, but that's very wishful thinking.

*keep in mind that even if we low ball it and assume the paypigs are only giving 5 bucks, that's still a little over 1.5 million bucks a year from patreon. Goon absolutely does not care enough about ICE to lose out on his half.
