My problem:
I've been experiencing bloating, abdominal discomfort, and reduced appetite the past month or so. I thought it was because I do most of my shitposting on my couch, laying down, with my laptop on an laptop holder on my abdomen. I spent a few days working at my desk and it helps somewhat, but I can't eat for 4 hours before I lay down or else the discomfort returns. But today even sitting down is uncomfortable.
I was feeling my abdomen for anything out of place as I had an inguinal (guts protruding into nutsack) hernia when I was a teen, and after poking and prodding the entire front and back of my torso I noticed that I have a small cavity just below and to the right of my sternum. To the left of the cavity is a lump that's slightly sensitive and painful.
I think I have either a hernia or a torn muscle in my abdomen. I'm gonna call my doctor tomorrow and schedule an appointment.
I'm also concerned that I may have low testosterone or that I tore like my esophagus or something so I'll request a hormone panel (?) and some sort of abdominal scan to verify it's not cancer eating away at my guts or something.
Does anyone have experience with this sort of thing? Got any advice? Should I fast, eat lighter meals, a liquid diet, or avoid certain foods?
