I would hope so but I never expect TPTB to be consistent. I'd rather see the Hughes Amendment and the GCA as a whole get shitcanned but I doubt that's going to happen any time soon.

The early 2000s M16s and M4s are awesome. One of my favorite range rifles is a 14.5 AR (pinned and welded, of course) kitted out with a bunch of Block 1 and Transitional SOPMOD accessories. I even managed to find a genuine Knights Armament RIS for it at a local gun shop for $5. It's not 100% clone correct, but it's close enough. A rattle can coat of tan and brown gave it that Fallujah chic.
 
I am the dumbest and blackest gorilla nigger. I couldnt figure out why the rifle I built for suppressed use only was gassing me so bad and after tearing it apart I realize I bought the wrong damn barrel god damnit.

Always liked the Mini best. Many, many, many moons ago I worked for a company called Vector Arms assembling parts kit semi-auto AKs and Uzis, though the company also did HK style roller delayed guns and semi-auto RPDs, but I wasn't part of those lines. A customer had a transferable select fire Mini Uzi and had bought a closed bolt kit for it, and he had us do the conversion for him. I got to install all the parts and test fire it. IIRC a normal open bolt Mini has a cyclic rate of around 700rpm on full-auto. Enough that you can hear the individual shots. With a closed bolt I believe it jumps up to around 1200rpm. Much like the MG42, if you hold the trigger down it's basically one long "BBBRRRRRTTTTT" sound. When I test fired it I loaded a 20 or 25rnd mag (can't remember because it was twenty years ago), stuck it in the bullet trap, worked the charging handle, and rode the lightning. By the time the first spent casing hit the shop floor the final round had already been fired and was in the air. Not very practical, but fucking fun as Hell.

I meant to pick up one of the KAK suppressed only barrels, but I ended up with a KAK barrel that's the same length, twist rate, material etc the difference being the suppressed only barrel has a .076 gas port, meaning it's not going to cycle without the back pressure of a suppressor and it won't gas you when shooting either

If and when that BBB passes, I think I'm going to buy the wire pistol folding stock as soon as I can. Shitty that its about $200, but it uses factory compatible parts, I just swap out the brace for the stock at the hinge pin. A factory Uzi stock would do the same, but those aren't $200.

This will remove at least a 1/2 lb from the gun over the brace.

Not going to count my chickens before they hatch but de-cuckification of suppressors and "SBRs" would be so great. Although from the sounds of it some suppressors already are suffering from supply not meeting the demand. Also, for suppressors private sales would forego the need for the 4473 just like a rifle would right? Or is there some stipulation I missed? Wouldn't surprise me since as far as I'm concerned the 4473 for a gun attachment is annoying as a concept but the alternative is having to get a form 3 which is also paperwork but more expensive.

I feel suppressor supply will go up once more companies get into it now that the market is deregulated. People will pay for a cheap ass can that is big and bulky as long as it works.

Edit: AOWs will also be included. If it passes, I believe the only things left on the NFA will be full-autos and destructive devices, like grenade launchers, mortars, cannons, etc.

One day we'll get the full autos back. Give it time. Not optimistic on cannons lol. Explosives scary.

This apparently wouldn't work under the Rare Breed settlement. In the interview with James Reeves (at around 23 minutes), the Rare Breed President said that the settlement has its own definition of a handgun, which is "if you can load the magazine through the trigger hand magwell, then it's a handgun." He says that they did it that way to keep AR and MP5 pistols safe, but ended up giving up not only Glocks but also MP7s.

"as long as it works" being key here, but I have a feeling we're going to get a shitload of Turkish cans that are on par with Russian designs from the 70s with Chinese quality welds.
Woah guys! Buy the Tokarev Arms Shushtoob, it doesn't explode like the Panzer Arms Quietbrake! I swear by the $75 Adler Whistlebox! The stock Tisas suppressor doesn't need replacing, you just have to adjust the tensioning and let out some excess gas so that the slide cycles!

is this a blow-forward action? Is that the extractor you see on the top of the barrel or an arm link for a toggle lock? whatever is going on with that trigger implies there's something interesting going on in the backstrap with the sear and hammer because thats long as hell for 45 acp. this looks a lot like what i scribbled out the first time i saw a hino-komura pistol and autismed out and thought about "what if this was made in the 21st century"

blow forward actually seems to work perfectly fine on basic principles but the thing preventing it from ever being used in any common guns is that you need a significantly more complicated trigger mechanism than what you would need for a gun with a hammer if you don't want to make the gun open bolt. and all of the early blow forward guns were open bolt. i do not believe anybody has ever come up with a design that has the firing pin separate from the feeding mechanism because they're all from the 19th century but im staring at that gun and im pretty damn sure thats what it is

I get that it's a soft shooter in the same overall configuration as a 92, cool looking, etc. but it's just too big to be a .380 IMO. Beretta has a pretty loose definition of the term compact though, a 92 compact is basically the same size as a P226.

For me, I'm not putting up with sub 9mm performance in anything bigger than my micro 9s unless it's strictly a range toy, like a PPQ 22.

Also, there's still a fair number of Italian LE surplus 84BBs for about half the cost of the 80X out there if you just want that sort of pistol.
