With how this has come up without being a campaign issue, this is clearly an astroturfed effort from Bloomberg's Everytown USA and Mom's Demand Action and it's no coincidence it's happening in a state bordering Washington DC. Once all those gun laws pass, Virginia will be just as restrictive as Hawaii. Watch Maryland tighten their laws next.

I just found out about this from Brandon Herrera.

The law being proposed is fucking batshit.

Like we don't even a real mag limit in Maryland. You can't buy or transfer them within the state, but mere ownership is totally fine. Just pop on down to Virginia to purchase whatever you want and just walk it over the river.

Now I'll need to catch rides up to PA to buy mags.

Edit: Wait, PA has a mag limit too? It's 15, but still, what the fucking fuck?

Yep. Years ago I had something kinda similar on my RobArms XCR-L. It was one of those Krebs mounts that allowed you to mount a VFG to the 9 o'clock rail and it stuck out at a bit of an angle. I really liked how it felt and I've been looking for something similar for years.

If you like that Colt, I recommend a new Anaconda .44 or .45. fantastic revolver. They even make a ported model called the Kodiak.

I hope they aren't run by boomer-lite fudds and try to price gouge, not like anyone in the WV panhandle actually would actually need to go in store to buy them because they can order online. I'm fully expecting to hear about $50 duramags.

Just remember on polymer magazines they will most likely have a manufacture month and year from the ejection mold as part of tracking batches. Best to buy steel magazines for rifles.

The senate bill completely outlawing possession may have changed and the senate was weighing the idea of a 15 round limit but the house bill that limits to 10 has passed and is on the way to the senate currently. The suppressor tax somehow died (not that I'm complaining). The 11% tax on ammo and guns passed the house. The permit to purchase has been delayed until 2028 because the someone stepped in from the Virginia state police and flat out said there is no way they could get everything set up by July 1st. They were going to vote on a carry law that would prevent someone from open carrying a rifle or pistol with a threaded barrel and more than ten rounds. Also applies to concealed carry also.

Contrary to what those blackpilled temporary gunowners on r/vaguns will like you to believe, there is some sort of hope that the Supreme Court will hear about rifle and magazine bans on the 20th because Justices Alito, Thomas, and Barrett all live in Virginia. There is currently a case ongoing about California's magazines that could legitimize the ban completely and eliminate all grandfathered and freedom week purchases and the appeal could reach the supreme court.

They've also been tossing the WA case around for conference recently. So far no movement though.

The California cases are a mixed bag for me because I remember when most of them were filed. Back around 2010. And they're still going. "2 weeks", as the Calguns joke was in legal discussions.

NoVA has a deep running inferiority complex. Maryland's just a blue state. It sucks but it is what it is. But NoVA takes it to new heights and they seem to have the population and gerrymandering to impose their bullshit statewide.

It's like if MoCo, MD successfully swung all the statewide politics up here.

I'm pretty pleased with the current court and I expect them to decide 2A cases correctly when they pick them up.

I'm always worried about the future though. If there's a sudden empty seat anytime soon, we gotta get this guy in.

Yes, Weyebacher brewery is near by and as much as I meme/shit post/poorly type. NoVA's issues started with the college educated transplant baby boomers coming from state colleges in the northeast and the midwest to work for the government. They were moderate to center-left and their kids grew up left-wing. Combine that with mass migration from Latin America, middle east, and south Asia (pajeet land), the demographics just shifted in Northern Virginia. Out of those three, hispanics are more likely to be 2A but as a block in NOVA they vote left and the DNC doesn't give a fuck about what they view as a hobby. Muslims and pajeets are overwhelming democrat and just vote left tribally.

One of the biggest gun control advocates in the Virginia House of Delegates, Dan Helmer, lost his bid for congress in the primary because the pajeets all voted in block for one of their own. Now he gets to stay put and introduce dog shit anti-gun bills. For everyone shitting on Saddam for his bill (full on magazine ban with no grandfathering), it was almost identical to what Helmer has been proposing for years and Helmer's own AWB bill is going to the senate.

Maybe I should update the "Where to Live" thread about why VA sucks but it should be obvious at this point.

The biggest poster who preached about staying and resisting got banned for spicy posts. A lot of the best posters have been banned. Arfcom has went to the dogs.
 
Installed the match trigger kit and a flat trigger into the USP and hot damn, it's amazing how smooth and buttery it is now compared to stock. Also picked up an AP5-P instead of spending all that money on B&T, may the noble wolves bless it and make it actually run without any hiccups.1771049396568.png

(BTW the Gideon Mediator II is pretty decent for the price. Nice and crisp dot and it's got full on recoil lugs on the bottom instead of just using the cross bar and tightening it down. Feels very sturdy in the hand for whatever thats worth as well.)

I was talking about the thread here in self-sufficiency. I’m not surprised ARFCOM is doing that. I tried creating an account a few weeks ago and got my account immediately banned while it was being verified for reasons of using a VPN or Tor.

Fuck that place.
