That looks nice! Do you find tritium sights to be good and useable in the dark? I haven't ever used them or even seen any in low-light conditions, and I never know if the extra $$ spent on them is really worth it

I do. Up until I got into mounting red dots on pistols, they were my favorite type of pistol sight. They do work as advertised and typically are ringed by white or other high visibility color for brighter lighting conditions, and there are even some combo sights that have tritium for darker conditions and fiber optic for brighter conditions.

The only downside to tritium is it's short half-life. After about 10-15 years they get dim and have to be replaced.

Not gonna lie, I really dig the zinc and the pearl grips on these Saturday night specials.

would explode my hand with/10
I give that a liquor store robbery/10

A mildly interesting find in the used gun cabinet at my local Sportsmans Warehouse.

Am I retarded or is this a full size P250 slide+barrel on a Compact frame? I asked the gun counter clerk about it but he was less than helpful, his major contribution to the conversation was "well thats how the p320 is"

I took these pictures and left. I swear if they didnt constantly have interesting shit in their gun cabinet like this and previously a .40 S&W SIG P226, I would never go in there, I constantly walk around like Ron Swanson in Lowes.

Because of Sig's retardation, I think that some P320 lowers may even fit the P250. I'm fairly certain that P320 magazines are P250 mags, too.

Boys, I am so happy about my homemade Spectre-style shoulder rig. First run has been bulletproof, but some quality of life things figuring it out.

My upgraded thicker nylon elastic should be in today, and I've got a stainless nickel plated suspender clasp I scavenged from a nice but worn out old pair of suspenders to replace the brass one I'm using on this one.

Another issue was that the top two straps of the holster are removable, but the horizontal ring that allows the elastic to wrap around your ribs is hard sewn in. I wanted to be able to take the main holster off and replace it with a different one, if you wanna armpit carry a snubbie under a tight TShirt or something.

Came up with a new solution for that, too.
Will post some not-identifying photos of it once finished. Pretty proud of how it turned out. All my buddies want me to make them one, and some other unrelated guys have asked me about making them one when they saw it, too. Stupid simple to make with DRings, scrap leather, and a cheap worn out pair of suspenders. And it's my favorite holster I've ever used.

there have been people that have converted P250s into P320s. the reason the P320 is so fucked up is that they had to nigger-rig a striker action into a DAO slide. their other new striker guns are perfectly safe, if not perfectly reliable.

Pictures of you're wife showing it off?

What kind of factory subsonic ammo can you shoot out of Deagles? .44 Special? .38 Spl?

With suppressors getting so popular, I'm sure it won't be long until we start seeing dedicated subsonic ammo in things like .44 Mag and .50 AE. And a lot of those large bore suppressors will happily eat supersonic ammo. My SilencerCo Hybrid 46M will take full-load .45-70 Gov, which is one of the reasons I went with it instead of an Osprey 45 or Obsidian.

Some pics of the old setup using my wife's dressmaking elastic and the holster being hard sewn to the rig:

And then the new setup/homemade universal holster

Holster itself is made to accommodate any gun/light combo, and can be adjusted for any cant. Back left open for longer guns like my revolvers.

Everything made of scraps I had lying around the house, subject to change and improve as I get what I like dialed in. But this is so far my favoritest way I've ever carried a gun.

The huge benefit of the "Spectre" style beats the usual issue with shoulder holsters moving too much and being bulkier. Everything is snug, thin, and that center strap (along with the rough side of the leather being on the outside) around your back means the gun doesn't swing around when you're moving. You dial it in, snug it up, and the gun doesn't move an inch whether you're running, or bending over, or doing a backflip to kick a random spanish dude.
Get a smaller gun or hike it up higher under the armpit, and I've gotten away with light, looser T-Shirts.

EDIT: I removed the little James Bond strap on the holster and attached the shell cordovan directly to it. Was necessary for the first build and wanted to keep it for a little Bond on there, but it was just an unnecessary extra moving piece.

Nobody was going to tell me Desert Eagles have threaded barrels now?

Seems they also sell a threaded barrel upgrade kit for existing DE's for $600.
My Desert Eagle is driving me insane right about now. Continues to fail to extract as of yesterday. Switched ammo, cleaned the hell out of it, still doing it. I contacted Magnum Research today and told them to either send me everything to rebuild the bolt myself or give me an RMA for them to do a warranty repair. I understand the rubber doodads they use as extractor "springs" deteriorate. That they couldn't just use a regular spring confounds the hell out of me. I'm hoping they respond in a Ruger-like fashion, i.e., "send it in and we will make it right, no charge". Shit. At least my third generation S&W (5900 series) ran like a Swiss watch. They should have been much more popular, but by the time they came online the buying public wanted tupperware guns. A damn shame.

My favorite 3rd Gen Smith was the 1076. I owned one years ago that was a former FBI issue gun. Only shot it a few times, but it always ran. It's one of the guns I really regret letting go.

istg everyone that owns a deagle shits on it relentlessly. even some hi point and taurus owners cope about their pistols being totally fine but everyone that owns a deagle is like "yeah it fucking sucks".

perhaps because it costs good money? if i dropped over 1k on a new gun and it ran as poorly as your average deagle i'd be livid.

I never had a problem with my deagle but I probably didn't own it long enough before I sold it. I think I put maybe 40-60 rounds of 50AE through it before selling it because I own too many random expensive ammo types. I'll probably buy another one at some point but have a .44 barrel cause I'll def shoot that more as I now own a few .44s.

I used exclusively steinel ammo, they were not on the "recommended ammo" list that comes with the gun. For all you non-deagle owners yes thats a real thing, you can view it here

Neat. Reminds me of a Galco Executive
