No pics of some PA Luty SMG's in this thread yet? (Sorry if I missed it.)

I wonder what's more reliable, one of these, or an original WWII era Sten. 😄

Any chance of getting that book without ending up on a watchlist?
Just look up professor parabellum and his designs. He updated the luty anyway.

Pretty sure there is a PDF of it floating around. Alt sorts of other versions and models with PDF instructions are out there too.

Some fuzz shooting some confiscated Luty SMG's in Australia.

To the shock of no one https://www.reddit.com/r/Defense_Distributed has been nuked. It was bound to happen. Discussion by some of the people behind the sub and the DD group can be found here . As someone noted "if subs like /r/Brasswap and the Beer trading subs also got the axe" no way was DD gonna stay up. Everyone knew that and were trying to get it to stay up as long as possible.

If you want news updates from deterrence dispensed I would recommend checking here https://keybase.io/team/det_disp

I will update as I know more.

For some updates. Yes they all expected the shit to get shutdown. They still are talking and getting shit done via irc and other means. They are still working on stuff. They are still going to develop stuff. This is nothing. Ivan himself said he is just gonna remake a random twitter later on when he gets free time to make announcements n shit.

Anything else will either be mentioned on the group's keybase or here on a page ivan set up https://ivanthetroll.keybase.pub/index.html. Don't worry there is more coming.

Finally made the jump from having a slightly autistic fascination with guns to actually owning one, ended up going with a Sig P229 since I had a pretty good experience with it when I went shooting the first time. Hasn't even cleared the waiting period yet and I'm already eagerly looking for my next purchase.

I have purchased a beat up Mauser C96, where can i find parts for her? Specifically a magazine spring as it has snapped in half near the bottom

I am going to add that there is a member of deterrence dispensed called Jeff Rodriguez. He has not been nuked every by virtue of being more low key. He has managed to fly under the radar for some time.

If you want more 3D printed gun updates check here on his personal page. He usually goes by the name big tan gringo elsewhere.

https://liberator12k.com/

Some of what he has worked on

Edit:
Apparently TFB did an article on it as jeff is going to be releasing more updates of the design soon. If you want his git hub is here.

Also here is a really cool Brazilian gun
846548

"A customized homemade submachine gun, decked out with AR furniture and finished in a Choc Chip paint job which was seized by police in the Brazilian municipality of Espirito Santo. It was apprehended after traffickers from the neighborhoods of Vila Velha and Cariacica fled who were planning to attack a rival group in the area. ‘B.A.M’ is likely the name of the gang it belonged to."

Recently Ivan released an updated version of a lower he was working on. Some places have a denser fill to help prolong longevity. He has also released a copy of the full technical data package for a 1911A1, and a partial for a Lurger. On top of all the other TDPs he has released.

Finally this article from the TFB where a private company is working on 3d printed AK receivers. Which is much harder then AR lowers as AK receivers have to deal with more strain.

Do you have to machine your own bolt or can you buy lefties?

I have no idea. This is still an early test as far as I know. I recommend you check out their site and other work.

Edit:
They just did a recent stream

Recently picked up a Smith and Wesson Model 57 and a second upper for my MWS308. The S&W 57 was made sometime in 1967 or 1968. .41 Magnum is my all-time favorite revolver cartridge. I used to have one made around the same time period with an 8 3/8" barrel, but I ended up selling it to make ends meet. This one has a 6" barrel, and I think it balances in my hand better than the longer one did. I'm going to get some nice custom grips made for it, possibly in giraffe bone.

The new upper for my MWS308 has M-Lok slots instead of the integral picatinny rails machined into the hand guard like the original upper does. I'll be setting up the new upper with a 16" stainless barrel, Aimpoint or ACOG, weapon light, and not much else. It'll be kept simple and light as a general self defense rifle. The original upper (the one with the Elcan scope mounted on it) will be set up for longer range shooting, so it'll get a 20" stainless barrel, bipod, weapon light, and possibly a laser aiming device and a small red dot on a 45° mount for quick close up shots. That way I'll have one rifle that can fill two roles simply by swapping uppers.

Hell yes. I have no idea why the 10mm Auto attained more popularity than the 41 Magnum. They're both excellent cartridges, but if I have to pick one for hunting, I want the one that comes in the best working guns...and those are almost all revolvers.

I way prefer m-lok to quadrail (and m-lok over keymod). Quadrail seems so bulky, and really how much shit does one need to bolt on there?
