Has anyone here purchased ammo from gunbroker before? Need to get some 5.56 and ordering it online seems easier than driving for hours looking for a store with some in stock.

Never purchased ammo from GB, but unless you're looking for hunting/defensive ammo just keep r/gundeals sorted by new as your homepage. It's the one thing reddit is useful for. Brass and steel range ammo of various calibers pop up there regularly.

Not from GB, Wideners and Armslist for me.

Edit: at least with Armslist you can meet in person at a gun store for the actual transaction. Think a virtual show.

I've purchased ammo in bulk from Brownells, SGAmmo, AimSurplus, LuckyGunner, Academy and MidwayUSA all with good results. Don't know if you're looking for steel or brass, but the current going rate seems to be about 40CPR for the former and 50+ for the latter.

Why is hunter's education so damn boring. Also the word safety safety safety everywhere.

All those gun control cunts are choosing the wrong word if they running with gun "safety" regulation.

Plus a major liberal anti-gunner shot and killed a woman today so that talking point is dead.

Well I finally achieved being a hunter through the power of online education.

Also it does answer what's with the orange shit at sporting goods stores and why would anyone subject themselves to using muzzle loaders.

And the of the videos where they discuss why are guns kept inside the house with a hint towards hunting when my first thought was something different.

Those modern black powder muzzleloaders are a hoot, the hunting use case aside. Lots of noise and smoke and recoil since the rifles weigh basically nothing. My cheap little CVA Wolf is crazy accurate for what it is (and what it cost).

Well I bought a new muzzle brake and currently deciding over three options.

My first choice is going it the ghetto way by have the rifle between my legs and using the armorer's wrench to rip the old muzzle off and hand tighten the new one though it will take alot of effort.

My second choice is going to some gunsmith in my area, who has very high reviews from what I am seeing, to do it but I don't know his price tag yet.

My third choice is buying the Magpul Bev block and a torque wrench and a mini vise to do it on my own.

Bev Block or Reaction Rod and vise should be fine assuming you have a wrench that fits the flats (or even a half-decent crescent wrench with some tape on the jaws). A torque wrench will be handy if you decide to build uppers/install new barrels/rails, though.

If you run into an issue with a disastrously-timed muzzle device (e.g.: it butts up against the crush washer timed at something like 1 o clock), you can pick up some shims or a set of these. You get a set of four washers timed 90° apart, so you just pick the one that times between six and nine o clock and crank it down.

Or you can be a heathen and use a lock nut. (raises hand)
