That weird sounding zoomer from tfb is starting a series on 300 bbc "pistols"
Believe it or not Hop is a millenial, hard to tell because his balls only dropped a couple years ago.

My ideal .300blk rifle would be the Sig MCX Rattler pdw. Its as small as almost any compact PCC with all the advantages of 300blk and has been adopted by a variety of organizations including SOCOM.

Not only is the Rattler expensive, it's ugly. It looks like a gun described, via an edgy 14 year old, to an artist who has never studied a gun before.

I'm sure its useful. There is a reason why I am thinking about getting a knockoff variant.

Spotted at the NG armory used for gunshows near me
Picsart_22-08-06_16-34-59-528.jpg

Me too bro, me too......

Also the gunshow was the usual schlock: over priced Gucci AR builds, turk roach shotguns, over priced "banned" ammo, and some swords/mall ninja shit.

Did get a nice ceramic cooking knife from a friendly Vietnam vets table.

It seems the days of Springfield 03's and mausers are over, at least for a couple more years.

Anyone know about Ruger vaquero's? I recently came into one from grandpa that I can't seem to find anything about online. It's a .45lc and has a birdshead grip, but instead of the 3.75 in barrel that everything I'm finding says it should have it has a 4.58 if I'm measuring right. Going off the serial it should have been shipped in 2003. Thanks.

It's Ruger's representation of the Colt Single Action Army, not much to say. They aren't quite collectible but older(ish, it feels weird to say 2003 is "old") Ruger revolvers are valuable all the same.
What specifically did you want to know?

What do you mean? It's so you can hold it like a proper AK pattern rifle. Duh.

Story checks out. Not just for AKs, though.

I remember these photos from a big set on a forum post, for years I've tried to find them again and my googling ability never figured out how. The two in looking for are the kids carrying the belt off a machine gun, and the one guy looking down the sights has his magazine spring shot out the bottom.

Mostly this. Was just curious about the slightly longer barrel and if it was significant in any way.

Well, how are you measuring?

Revolver is cylinder gap to muzzle, IIRC.

While custom orders and general parts swapping are definitely possible, some vendors request specific combinations to sell at their location for many different brands of guns. Definitely could have been that.

Weld a carry handle to a flat top

Brownells makes them but they're out of stock and who knows when they'll get more in.

Your best bet is probably just getting one of the attachable ones.
Sorry but it's fixed or bust for my 20" A2 larp.

Looks like I'm going to have to pay the 900 boomer tax

Lol, I had a desire to put together a Vietnam war A1 build earlier this year, but got burned out trying to find a decent deal on parts. Getting outbid on Gunbroker a few times on uppers helped to kill that desire. Ended up getting a Henry Big Boy in .44 mag - would rather larp as a cowboy anyway.
