Don't know about the Europe part. But I have long, skinny fingers and despise Glocks as well. Best pistol I ever found was the Beretta PX4.
I have a Beretta PX4 "C" Type and can confirm it's awesome.
Biggest complaint is it uses it's own magazine instead of the 92 series mags.

+1 for the PX4. I have a PX4 Storm (Type F), it was my first pistol I got for home defense and is a great shooter. Slap a 20 round mag in it and you've got more than enough rounds for any realistic scenario. The only thing I don't like is the center hold sight picture - even though my M9 (What I first learned on) uses the same style all the rest of my handguns use combat sight picture. I just hate having to remember to switch up my sighting with them. I'd wish I could put a can on it but while I like the rotating barrel I don't want to risk it with a can.

the PX4 is pretty underrated imho. i have an older Beretta Cougar that the PX4 was somewhat based on and it's quite a comfy gun to carry and shoot. the solution to a suppressor for a rotating barrel is to "float" the barrel in a sleeve and mount the suppressor to the frame of the handgun. if the suppressor can be locked to the barrel via anti-rotation pins or something, that can work too.

The PX4 is basically a poly framed Cougar.
I think you can still buy the Stoeger version, it's just made in Turkey instead of Italy.

Another underrated pistol is the SIG SP2022.
Fantastic gun if you can get your mitts on one.

Among my collection I have the PX4 40 Storm in Subcompact for my 'large' carry pistol and the 45 in 'regular size'. I like them both. You may ask, 'why 40', because back when I was starting out 40 was going to be the "next big thing", so I got a Beretta 96... If nothing else at least during the recent unpleasantness there was still often 40 on the shelves even if there was no 45 or 9mm.

.40 S&W will die any day now, you just wait and see!

i'll see your SP2022 and raise you the SIG P250 "square revolver". double action only, no manual safety, with a long, but smooth travel with crisp release, compatible with P320 parts, can take P320 magazines too if you have the gen 2 grip module, and with effort can even be converted into a P320. was extremely cheap for quite a while as well.

But like the 320 the 250 is icky looking. 🤮
The SP2022 is more like a poly framed 229. 😻

I recently got a sig P320 10mm and am trying to decide what red dot to put on it. Sig recomends only the romeo 2 or a trijicon rmr however I suspect them of bias and also I'm cheap. Does anyone know how holosun red dots hold up on 10mm's?
having had to do several milling jobs over the years for 10mm auto for micro red dots, you don't want to use the rear sight adapter for the purpose - it will eventually snap off from work hardening over time (at least the cheap ones are like this). a 0.12" is just barely safe imho, i usually prefer 0.125" if i can, but 0.121" - 0.122" is typical on most pistols depending on the location of of the extractor pin or safety plunger or whatever might be in the way.

the red dot should sit flush against the leading edge of the milled area (people make the mistake of flush against the rear of the milled area and wonder why their glass came out the front of the optic...). the red dot should then be secured per the manufacturer's instructions from there regarding torque, and i tend to offer rocksett as well if the customer wants it (i recommend it vs red loctite which also should be avoided on an optic's mount).

typically it's not the optic that fails - the holosun and even a cheap swampfox or something that isn't an aliexpress special should be okay on 10mm for casual use. it's the screws or the mount. the RMR is rifle-rated up to .308 and i have used it on .50 AE and .460 rowland pistols for many hundreds of rounds without trouble. the docter RTS and ultradot L/T work very well on heavy recoil pistols too.

Смрт фашизму, слобода народу!
Don't go doing this right now since it is going to appealed to SCOTUS most likely.

Section 922(k) states, in pertinent part, It shall be unlawful for any person knowingly to transport . . . in interstate or foreign commerce, any firearm which has had the importer’s or manufacturer’s serial number removed, obliterated, or altered or to possess . . . any firearm which has had the importer’s or manufacturer’s serial number removed, obliterated, or altered and has, at any time, been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce.
The threshold question is whether Section 922(k) prohibits conduct that is protected by the plain text of the Second Amendment. Bruen, 142 S. Ct. at 2126. The Government argues that it does not because the requirement that firearms bear serial numbers is, in its view, a “commercial regulation” that does not “infringe” on one’s right to keep and bear arms.
[...]
These scenarios make clear that Section 922(k) is far more than the mere commercial regulation the Government claims it to be. Rather, it is a blatant prohibition on possession. The conduct prohibited by Section 922(k) falls squarely within the Second Amendment’s plain text.

Saw “furyized”, read it as “furryized” and wondered for a second how SIG would cater to the degenerate community - didn’t even strike me as absurd because fuck this gay timeline we live in now.

Sig recently showed off some "Furyized" cartridges

I doubt they would be backwards compatible with Guns that are built around standard pressure ammo but their claims of 3-500fps velocity increases sound impressive.
When .277 was submitted for SAAMI approval they set the max pressure at 80,000 PSI. This means if the gun manufacturers want to not get the pants sued off them they will build the guns to be able to handle the hybrid cases.

Any other caliber will require either specialty guns or a modification of the dimensions to make it not chamber with current firearms. No major ammunition manufacturer will load above SAAMI specs for liability reasons. You might get some guys rolling their own or a boutique shop like buffalo bore selling them. The extra cost required to make the hybrid sig case is not worth it for current calibers.

I doubt the hybrid case is going to take off as the whole thing was engineered around a specific projectile designed by the military who also had specific velocity requirements.

threaded barrel for a full size Beretta 92
most suppressor shops will have threaded barrels available for common pistols, you can also try the usual suspects for parts. some shops like wilson or LTT or top gun supply that are authorized service centers may also have it in stock.
rear sight assembly for a S&W K-frame
APEX, Numrich, Sarco, Worthpoint, TK Custom, ebay, et c. for NOS i would check the first 4 first.

“furryized”
The fact that you can now find this word in a google search is fucking horrifying.

I think that it'll become a big part if the industry soon now that it's being adopted by the Army, manufacturers will begin to produce hybrid cases to make sure there's a steady supply for the DoD.

Lake City is building a whole new plant just to make the new case. I could see a possibility of new calibers using the hybrid design but there is no reason to use it in existing calibers. The manufacturing costs for the hybrid case are significantly more then a traditional monometal case and the ammunition companies already know they can use their existing equipment to make cases that meet the max SAAMI specs.
