So I decided to build my own AR and do all sorts of dumb COD shit to it. Upon doing some research, the gun I want to build would be considered an SBR according to the glow nigs. I would need to give the alphabet soup bitches $200 to have it registered with them. Since I'm going to buy all the parts online, it would be easy to see what I'm building. My question is: how aggressively do glowies pursue SRB violations and is it a slap on the wrist or go directly to federal pound me in the ass prison?

This is a really stupid thing to ask on an open forum but I will answer you anyway:

This forum and both gun threads are more than likely monitored by several US agencies. You're asking how to break a Federal law on it.

That being said, no your individual purchases are not being tracked unless you're buying from a vendor already under investigation or you yourself are. You can order whatever parts you want (assuming they're not anything that needs to be sent to an FFL) and no one is going to take notice except your very anti gun bank or credit card company. Are they going to rat on you? No. They'll just keep note of the purchase in case it becomes relevant in the future because firearms and accessories are definitely being flagged now.

To get to the meat of your question, you can assemble whatever you want and no one will know until you tell them, which your dumbass just kind of did. If you create an unstamped SBR, good on you. You bring it anywhere public? Expect some nosy busybody or range nazi to ask to see your paperwork. Don't have it? They will call the ATF on you for good boy points. What's going to happen once the ATF gets off their ass to run an investigation to find out who you are and where you are? Every firearms related thing you own is going to get confiscated, you will not get it back. You will be interrogated on if you know others who have built SBRs and/or machine guns. You will be intimidated and threatened. You probably won't get a full 10 years for a single violation of the NFA but I would expect a hefty fine, the loss of your firearm rights, and possible jail time. If you own anything imported, they will scour it to see if it meets 922r so they can stack on charges. It will spiral from there.

Essentially what I'm saying is keep your stupid shit to yourself. Alternatively, avoid the SBR route and just put a brace on whatever you want to build so it's technically a pistol. That stupid points system they're trying to push isn't going to be followed by anyone except fuds on Arfcom and the sub humans who live in California.

So just get the 16" barrel.

There was a cop iirc from the San Francisco Bay Area, that had an SBR and got ratted out by his own fellow cop lol.

I guess those are known as Blue Falcons.

But the police here, who get special exemptions from the shitlibs will fuck each other over there as well for good boi points.

Meanwhile Calguns and r/CAguns are still waiting for SCOTUS to finally buck break California and will wait centuries for it just so they can put on the magpul pistol grip at minimum.

Or buy stuff like this.

I havent watched this yet, but thought it might make some of you want to gouge your eyes out. Happy viewing.
ETA: Isnt Blaire in LA? There's multiple Cali "assault weapons" in that thumbnail. The AK pistol would be difficult to even legally acquire (unless maybe it's a 22LR?). Dammit, might have to watch just to see if he addresses that.

Or buy stuff like this.

I don't get it. Is the theory supposed to be that youre locking some weird tiny non-STANAG 22LR mag into the grip, and because *that* mag is "locked" it somehow exempts a drop-free mag in the magwell? I think calling such a "legal" interpretation "specious" would be overly generous.

Or you can do that, yes.

Yeah, also called buddy fucking. I have extremely low opinions of law enforcement in shithole states because they're more often than not intentional bullies. Try to LEOSA a gun into NYC and see what happens.

A fatwah on his house.

If you're getting it built up some places will offer like a 14.7" barrel with the muzzle device "permanently" attached ('pinned and welded') so that the total length of the combo is 16" and no SBR worries at the minimum possible length. That's a pain in the ass to do yourself without a drill press and welder though.

The average Californian gun owner, a significant number of which are leftoids, have been buck broken hard in this state, so they resorting to this lol.

When the folks at ARFCOM are like, just put on a regular grip.

Edit: Blaire White moved to Texas in 2021.

These are probably the best price/performance upgrades you can do on a 10/22. I'm sure you'll be happy.
Is that Kidd enhanced charging handle kit worth it? Haven't thought about changing the spring, have no issue cycling anything from CCI Stingers to CCI Semi-Auto Quiets.

Right now running the Tandemkross Spartan charging handle. It's on the larger side, making it easier to use with gloves and for individuals with gorilla hands.

All of the charging handles are roughly equal. Choose the one that you like best. Sounds like you don't need tuning springs at all.

(Edit: lol I forgot I have one of the Kidd ones. It's kind of a fucking cunt to reassemble because of the non-captive design. The one you have is better.)

The only one that I know of that's different in a major way is the captive handle on the VQ 10/22 bolts (and the like). Those are kind of a wash.

Oh yeah, one more thing most people like on it: One of the soft poly buffer pins.

Ahah a based judge threw out most of NY's insane anti gun law that they passed to try and screw over NY residents after the Supreme Court's decision on carrying firearms.

Some goddamn good news and a massive "fuck you" to the dumbasses running NY state(mostly from NYC)

I have never understood the appeal of the whole pin and weld thing. The length is barely reduced and weight savings are minimal.

I don't think there's much of a real point, but people do it so they can get their rifle as short as possible without being a SBR. I think a lot of people want one but don't want to go through the paperwork process and the 200 dollars.

Sic semper tyrannis. I ain't no snitch and if I see someone getting someone whacked for NFA violations by some busybody I'd probably want to have them buried six feet under. As long they aren't shooting me it ain't my damned issue (and if they are, then I have bigger issues to worry about).
The only thing worse than a hypocrite, is cocksucking government hypocrite.

Anyone got experience with the Swiss 7.5x55 GP11? Tempted to by a K11/K31 alongside a Stgw 57 parts. Trying to reverse engineer the receiver for the 57 is a absolute pain in the ass though, thank god for a friend who served in Switzerland. Maybe I won't blow my face off with shitty steel like a bad CETME-C receiver.

For people like me who live in ban states, it's not like you have much of a choice to pay $40 to weld or drop a few hundred on a HF welder.

I have a PL2 and a Valkyrie mini among other olights.
They are made to a price point and functional.
For not much more you can get a Streamlight and they really are a better light.
I wouldn't bother with a laser unless you are shooting with nods.

Opinions, frens? I am thinking of buying an Olight Baldr Mini or PL 2 Mini for my PSA Dagger. Baldr just because laser sounds fun at the range.
Inb4 buy a real light
I thought I was on reddit for a second reading this post.

I agree with @DocAwe, spend a few more bucks and get a Streamlight.
