All I have is an Airsoft Pistol. Special Needs Justin Trudeau has banned guns that used bullets last year but I still needed a way to defend myself. It's something I'll use for target practice. A lot of Gun stores try to sue Justin Trudeau because of this.
Is something stopping you from getting a PAL or are you one of those learned helplessness people who think it's impossible to get a gun because it takes a small amount of effort?

Whenever I see ammo and primer prices near me, I thank god gramps was a hoarder. Sidenote, for those of you with a shit ton of guns, how do you have them stored? I'm running out of room in my safe and I'm on my way to acquire at least 12 in the next year.

If you own a house instead of rent/lease, converting a spare bedroom, basement/attic, or closet into a gun storage room might be your best bet, there's plenty of material online where people discuss how to do so. How far you'd want to go with that is up to you.

If you don't have that option, get another safe or upgrade to a larger one.

Stop being a syrupnigger.
Loaded and placed randomly throughout the house.
This is the way.

I've ran out of the expanding space long ago. The collection multiplies like cancer.

I converted a walk-in closet to a gun room, I replaced the door with custom fabricated 300lb steel one I built and installed $700 worth of high security locks on it.

Thank you, I am going to need this.

Is 7.62x39 more Expensive than 5.56 in 2023?
Also where to get good quality AK magazines nowadays???
For 7.62x39mm, it depends on type. Is it brass cased or steel? Are you going to ranges that don't like bimetalic jackets, which is usually steel case? If you're going after brass, look for holiday deals and horde. As for steel,it's still ok, but if it's not online, it depends on your area
All suppressors are a pain to clean.
I think it has to do with them being difficult to manufacture.
When 3D printing in metal becomes more of a thing we'll probably see them more often.
Why I'm not worried about a suppressor too much. My 300 win mag could take it, but I'd rather have a easily cleaned brake and not have to go through the process.

If you live alone, just keep them in cases, put locks on them if worried, and shove them places, it's what I do lol.

but why tho?
I think they're the people who always pick the Deagle in FPS games, own Bullet Tooth Tony memes/stickers/t-shirts, and would unironically carry a Desert Eagle point five-o every day; if they could afford one & get away with it (i.e. not stolen/confiscated/made fun of). They may be fanboys for IMI, but often a Jericho is the only Israeli firearm they'd willingly/knowingly buy. But in their little support groups they sperg about how the Jericho is a spiritual successor to the Deagle, and thus it's ok to own & carry one.

I wonder if it'd be possible to find 3D printing polymer that would work for sabots, even maybe something like sintered-metal, that would break apart/powderize after leaving the muzzle.
3D Printing Sabot's is actually pretty easy.

Most of these videos are made by a guy on youtube who goes by The Idahoan Show, a critically underappreciated youtuber whose channel is chock full of experimental firearms stuff.

Unless you have a AP core, ala Russia, sabots in pistols, while interesting, seem like kind of a dead end. Shot guns and muzzle loaders are a different story, the more speed the better.

Great, there goes my afternoon. Thanks fam!

For pistols, sure; but carbine length barrels? Those extra inches should help move those tiny projectiles fast enough to do work, even without a hardened penetrator. And with a tungsten tip?
:woo:

A common caliber, but rare round.

I want some just because, but no way would I shoot any.

For various reasons I've been very interested in saboted centerfire rifle implementations and the primary issue upon looking into it seemed to be getting a sabot that properly stabilized the bullet without effectively "gearing" the amount of spin imparted: the sabot may not be able to impart spin so much as just spinning around the bullet which due to its greater mass will try to remain unspun and thus potentially be less stabilized than a bullet would normally be when it pops out the end of the tube. This may account for the less than glowing range reports in relation to accuracy and precision of these things that I found in my research.

Something something application for gain-twist barrels but that's really getting into the specialized weeds.

It seemed to me that an properly accurate implementation requires 3 things: materials that won't disintegrate, some kind of way to more effectively impart the spin imparted on the sabot to the bullet (something like a key pattern in the back of the bullet and the rear of the sabot that fit together, but also don't disturb the bullet when the sabot separates), and a twist rate setup that won't over-spin the projectile package immediately, which is what gain twist would be ideal for. The keying I know some have played around with, and the gain twist I don't know if anyone has played around with at least with sabots.

I just figured they were too cheap to buy a proper CZ-75.

Now that could be interesting with hardened cores, deserving of some study, but just with the stuff civvies have access too, it seems a little bit worthless if we're just using pistol rounds.

That's probably what I'll do since I already use a room for reloading, I'll just convert it fully into a gun room. I just need to keep them outta the kids' reach.
They might find the obvs; but nobody expects the dryer-vent gun, shower gun, oven mitt gun, curtains gun, salt-lamp gun, or subwoofer gun.
