Retarded question about slings
The Magpul picatinny QD mount is good right?
And if my rifle has a QD mount at the end plate I may as well use it right?
Recommended QD swivels?

Yes and yes
BCM swivels are my go-to because they're not too expensive and the QD button is recessed.
Thanks for the guidance.
Just bought two BCM swivels and the Magpul qd pic mount. Fitting since the QD endplate is also a BCM.
First time getting a proper sling set up for the first rifle I finished recently.

The Magpul QD mount is good.

Though the MLOK version is 180 degree turn while those mounts on those magpul stocks are full 360.

As far as QD swivels go, I bought both Magpul's swivels as one is more of an old school design and the other is some V shape design.

I found the old school design to be easier in pulling out and placing in.

I don't normally care for this kind of shit, but the Tokarev & Makarov get me kind of hard. And no Nagant has a right to be that gangster (or "drip" as kids say these days), unless it's literally meant for a Russian mob or party boss.

Really makes me wonder who these are for...

Now  this is something.

Not even cartel members have a gold-plated & platinum-inlaid DP-28.

That's it, I'm done.
Goodnight!

That Nagant looks glorious, even makes a American like me feel for the ruskies.

Might be getting a gun soon, probably one of the ones we've talked about on here, really depends on my car repair costs, so that's exciting

Zenith is selling blem MP5s for $1400.
Lol I wish. Either gonna be a SD40VE 40 cal pistol to be my little cheap mod gun I can work on in my spare time, or a RIA mag fed shotty so I can share mags with my brother/ mossberg Maverick possibly if I'm feeling it. Lesser options are a cheap 22 or a Security-380 because Sportsmans is selling them for just over 300 bucks and 15 rounds of 380 auto on tap seems too fun

Those SDs are great pistols, can't go wrong. I strongly suggest getting the Apex trigger and spring pack for it

I plan on it, again it's gonna be my tinker gun. I'd like to have something to work on and mod, strap a laser on in the future if only for the meme. But that's future plans. Need to see the bill from my car lol

Those Rossi gallery-gun pump .22s are a great deal; pass on the polymer stock & go for the wood, but you can still pick up spare polymer furniture from Rossi. They're marked as .22lr only, but know for fact they'll take shorts (CBs or super), rat shot, or any combination thereof.

Even though it's one of the cheapest pump .22s on the market (if not the only one), they seem to be of a better quality than most of Rossi's catalog; or at least better than Remington towards the end.

The only thing I ran into was none of the fasteners/screws were torqued down, with the two on the pump forearm were barely finger-tight. I noticed some deflection in the stock between wrist & receiver, all easily fixed with a drop of loctite & tightening. After that it became a laser, even with subsonic shorts beyond 50ft.

Speaking of... the big buckhorn sight with big brass bead on the front post is a nice touch, especially with my horrible eyes.

Since being unboxed & tightened up, it's been oiled exactly once, fired well over 2000rds of various types, and still never fails to feed, fire, extract or eject; becoming sort of a running experiment to see how long it'll go without. The only thing I've done is snake the bore every 1000rds.

My one gripe is the pump forend is just like a large grooved dowel; square at the ends, instead of like the classic Winchester corncob. I'm just not confident enough in my carpentry skills to "fix" it, so I'll probably just look for a replacement that might fit.

I've been looking up this "cheek pistol" idea, is it a worthwhile concept or is it just gimmicky?

I think as a competition thing it can work, not really practical for anything else. Though when I do steel challenge you're required to start with pistols either holstered or held out front pointed at the yellow starting point so I don't think it could give an advantage there.

Here's a QBS-06, a Chinese copy of the Russian APS underwater assault rifle for combat divers.

The main reason this gun looks like it was drawn by a small child is because instead of conventional fmj bullets, this gun fires long steel darts which are much more hydrodynamic, so it needs a big fat magazine for tall skinny cartridges.

Also, here's the only 5.56 I'd ever let into my house, the Interdynamics MKS.

A gun built from the ground up to fire tiny smg cartridges.

Okay so current money pit build is consisting of a Centurion CM4 lower, Centurion 14.5" SOCOM barrel, BCM M4 blem upper, DD RIS II and like the retard I am I ordered KAC BUIS for $280 for both front and rear last night.

Not quite gun-related, but adjacent. Is the Benchmade SOCP dagger supposed to be so shit? Poor retention, duller than a butter knife from the factory, overpriced for 440C steel.

It's the first (and last) real Benchmade I got, normally this is a Spyderco (and some ZTs) household.

I've had one in my kit for years. It's one of those things that has a super specific use case and I remember that they used to offer training on how to properly use it. I know that mine, retention wise, is very stiff. It takes effort to deploy it. As far as dullness, I have the dagger point, not the serrated one so I don't get it, are you trying to cut shit? It's a last ditch stabbing weapon meant to create space. Did yours have a blunted point?

But yeah, as far as I know and have been trained, this isn't a walk around EDC dagger, it's something you keep on your armor or duty belt as an "Oh shit!" to stab a motherfucker and get away.

The point is sharp, but the edge itself is duller than any other factory edge I've seen, not counting gas station knives. Like, to the point where it can't even cut paper. I get that it's not intended for cutting, but having a cutting edge that is poorly sharpened just feels like a waste. Not that it's a major issue overall, nothing that 5 minutes with a sharpener can't fix.

The sheath retention is more concerning, I was able to shake the knife out of the sheath way too easily and couldn't find an easy way to adjust it without taking a heat gun to it. Maybe the new sheaths aren't as sturdy as older models. It was supposed to replace my S&W HRT boot knife, but I think I'll keep the S&W for now.
