I have no idea why it took me this long to buy a 10/22. I can practice shooting all day now instead of for just a couple of hours without thinking about money.
It gets even better once you pick up a bolt action .22 and a high magnification scope. You spend a bit more on fancy match ammo, but you'll shoot a lot slower at stuff 200+ yards away and doing a bunch of turret twiddling. "Long" range .22 is pretty satisfying.

Here's a flintlock pistol kit I put together with my dad while I was visiting. He's not a gun person at all so I appreciated him still working on it with me. It took way more fitting than I expected but it came out looking great. We rust browned the barrel.
That's pretty nice work, even better that you did it with your Dad.

I hate to admit, but I'm envious.

I still have an unfinished Tennessee flint-lock squirrel-rifle in .38, bought as a kit to do with my dad as well, but he got put into a "group home" by the state a couple years ago. But now it's far beyond my solo capabilities & available tools. Maybe I can find someone to build it, but honestly I just want to get rid of it &'the reminder... except the thing was fucking expensive, and I'd hate to trash it.

This is what it's supposed to look like, except left-handed.

Pardon my saltyness, but now I need a drink.

has anyone seen the youtube shorts on guns that black people make? it's hilarious. it's always in the middle of the woods where they shoot at nothing, say shit "yeah woody we got that jickle yang that nuckle sang," hold the gun like a sissy, and argue with the other black people that can't really read that well in the comments

Got any starters? I'm not sure putting 'show me the nigger guns' in youtube will work.

Rather than the impossible task of trying to make sure they don't have guns, I'd relocate them back to Africa.

Reparations should be a permanent revocation of citizenship, $10,000 dollars (tax free because I'm not a kike), and a one way boat ride back to African country of their choice or wherever their ancestors are on record of being sold from.

However I realized halfway through our build that it's the same flintlock that Tim Pool has hanging on his wall.

:stress:
Looks like his was a prebuilt one though.
I tried to put one of those together once.
Didn't turn out all that great.

Let me introduce you to the RT-20. It's a 20mm hispano anti material rifle with a hole in the barrel that vents into a back blast tube over the stock to reduce recoil. It's a semi-recoilless rifle.

It kaboom'ed or you had an accident using power tools? I was always told black powder was so underpowered if you filled the entire thing with BP and shoved a patch and ball ontop it wouldn't explode.

I always wanted to built a muzzle loader pistol from scratch. I have a nice lathe and a moderate milling machine. I've always kept my eye out for a 9mm barrel blank in at gun shows. I figured that would be the place to start.

9mm barrel blank
9.06mm ID -/+ 0.02mm 4150. do a QPQ or send out for black oxide after induction hardening after finish machining a 9.75mm shoulder 17.55mm into one end for the case shoulder. the normal 9x19mm chamber is tapered from 9.75mm at the mouth of the bore to 10.06mm at the chamber mouth at the beginning of the feed ramp. be sure to use a falling block or something else to keep it from being a pipe bomb. enjoy.

or you can wuss out and find pretty much any 9mm charger barrel since those tend to be rather thick to give you some play on what your final profile is going to be.

Wait until you find out about lever action.22s, and essentially any .22lr revolver
The first two videos are amazing and should be linked to the phrase "country ass nigga" in any dictionary.

Now for a question, looking for a DA/SA .22lr revolver, pretty set on a 4 inch S&W 617, however I'm open to other options.

Any suggestions?

Note that I already have the cheap and cheerful heritage rough rider and will be getting a 5.5 inch Ruger Single Six in stainless eventually.

r "where does the bolt go?"
Wonder no longer it uses a lifter ala the Steyr ACR submission

Also Trijicon and Eotech patents for new shit
Pic of the new Eotech allegedly on an upper of a Ranger (pic is supposedly from 2021)
New RMR looks to have a light sensor (fig. 308)

Also nobody gives a fuck but I'm back

That little grippy grabber that pulls new rounds off the magazine looks flimsy as shit. I really appreciate the innovation of this flipper baby of a rifle, but I'm just saying that thing would fatigue crack so fuckin' fast. I always wondered how that thing worked, anyway, I don't think I've seen a cutaway of it before.

A 10/22 is on my list, so much variety and so many mods you can do on it

I remember seeing that in a military equipment list once. Cool as fucking shit, wish we got to see it in movies ;-;

That's part of what I'm thinking for my first 22, especially a revolver. As you know, I like my wheelguns, And a cheap little potshot gun would be the coolest shit. Might get one before the SD40VE tbh.
