That's not what I was doing.

I am happy to see a gun/2A enthusiast thread on KF. I hope it means it's not full of A.) a load of whiny complaining TROONS arguing over which combloc shit rifle to use to defend against the troonicide sweeping the nation, and B.) legitimate fudds, chudds, and boomers hell bent on swearing the 1911 and .38 revolver are all you need and the police actually *don't* shoot enough people.

It's always one extreme or the other. There's no in between.

I hate to agree but, when the LEO/DA looks at a shooting they take into account how offensive the firearm looks. I don't have Punisher grips on my 1911s and I don't have words on my AR's dust cover. Years ago I bought a Colt revolver off a nice old man, he tells me "if you got to shoot someone, shoot them with this, makes you look like Andy Griffith"

Years ago when Daniel Shaver was killed by the police, one of factors the DA mentioned was the dust cover it said "you're fucked!" or something cringe like that, it was the officers personal rife, approved for use by the dept. The shooting itself was one fucking hell of a bad shoot, the LT is screaming/threatening this guy contradictory commands, the guy is crying, there was no firearm found on his person or in the hotel room. Point being the optics of the language on the AR were a factor, now in my opinion the LT and the shooter should have been prosecuted but that's a different story.

That made my piss boil.

What made it worse, is the pig who murdered Daniel was rehired to collect pension.

"This is all we got, oh well." is not something you say when you're happy to see a thread.

Stop being a chainposting faggot, and you'll find (I think) that we're neither category A or B.

Brownells ships internationally.
They do (most things), but they don't stock any pins for the P10. Seems it uses some non-standard? 2, 2.5 and 3mm pins. I was hoping it would share some common sizes with the Glock set for convenience.
I might just try to source some steel pins with correct diameter and length locally.

For everyone not familiar with the Daniel Shaver "incident" here's a quick video, obviously there are more elaborate videos and break-downs on TY.

This took place before the LV hotel shooting, a lot of boot-licking faggots keep comparing this to the Stephen Paddock shooting, claiming the police were worried about a mass shooting, this happened before that ever took place. Shaver stuck an air rifle partially out of his hotel window, IIRC he was showing it off to his co-workers. No shots were fired and this was an air rifle, some people in a Jacuzzi complained to the front desk, front desk called in a "man with a gun" call to the Mesa PD. Mesa PD responded to this as if it was an active shooter, when making contact with the occupants in the room then sergeant Langley, was the ranking officer, it's very relevant the voice of the scumbag threatening and yelling conflicting commands was Langley, he retired 4 months after this, fled the country to the Philippines if I recall correctly. Brailsford was the actual designated shooter, he had his personal AR-15 complete with cringe "you're fucked" dust cover, he shot/ killed Shaver. He was charged with 2nd degree murder IIRC. during the trial Mesa PD filled the courtroom, unsubstantiated reports claim they were mad-dogging the jurors. Brailsford was found not guilty and in typical police union fashion, he was re-hired for one day or something so he could get some kind of financial retirement benefits. The family received 8 million in the civil suit.

I strongly feel seargent Charles Langley should have been charged, once again the voice heard is Langley, the threats, the insults, the conflicting commands all escalting the situation, all Langley, the scumbag should have been sitting at the defendant table right next to Brailsford. If Shaver was black, the country would have practically had a second civil war and both Langley and Brailsford would be serving life sentences.

Is it possible to learn the jury votes? How many voted G vs NG?

LoL at brailsford claiming PTSD. Though maybe it's legit. I'd be traumatized if I had done that: murder an unarmed, sobbing, sorta drunk guy begging on his hands and knees while my corrupt partner and I brayed conflicting commands.

I was looking for a gun forum or thread, but I guess this is the best we got. Oh well.

I don't imagine a lot of KF users are big gun or 2A enthusiasts.
KF has one of the lowest concentration of faggot soyboys and troons on the current net.
Not to mention, the whole site still existing is a testament to papa null's autistic obsession with the first amendment.

So we probably have a higher percentage of 2A supporters than most other sites.

KF has (had?) tons of troons, furries, and fags. They just generally don't act like histrionic faggots. It's not what they're here for and they'll get called out for it. I generally see less "as a ____" these days, although I do spend less time in those types of threads. Maybe they've just been diluted as the forum has grown as well.

I say "faggot soyboys" and "troons" in the same way I say nigger.

Not every black person is a Nigger, but every nigger acts like a black person.

We might have faggots, soyboys, and troons. But the ones that are quiet about it never get the triangle and blend in with the rest of the shitposters.

Nah. Read out the threads. We all just like guns. All guns. Even a bad gun is a gun. And we like em.

I doubt there are any records of this. Mesa PD had the worst record of police shootings for a dept in its size in the nation IIRC. You see how the commanding officer on site handled things and you really can't be surprised; escalate, scream conflicting commands, threaten, insult, shoot. I was disappointed nobody in that hallway said "Hey sarge, wanna tone it the fuck down? We are trying to not shoot people tonight, ok? This shit is all being recorded, remember?" Brailsford was the trigger man in a fubar dept that somehow promoted Langley to sergeant. I'll say it again if Shaver was black the whole country would have lost its collective minds, Langly and Brailsford would have been dragged out of the police dept by an angry mob and hung from a lamp post. Brailsford only claimed PTSD in order to collect 2,500$ monthly for the rest of his life. He was only with the dept for 3 years or something? Got hired on originally cause dad was an officer. He was already investigated for beating the shit out of some teenagers in a liquor store or something. The idea the police chief of Mesa PD rubber-stamped $2,500 of taxpayer money every month for the rest of his life for an officer who was fired and then charged with murder-2, blows my fucking mind. Like I said the whole dept was ripe with nepotism and incompetent officers. Meanwhile all the officers who were present for Floyd OD'ing on fentanyl, are going to federal prison. The fact Langley fled to the Philippines immediately after the trial, make me think he was either afraid he would be charged or just couldn't deal with the public's response to the video of him.

Anything will work at least once.
People would be surprised what common household items can make usable, if very awkward or even single use suppressors. The old oil filter is the most popular example. Even taming a round like 5.56 isn't terribly difficult. I think it was on arfcom there was a woman from the Philippines who made all kinds of cans primarily from wood. They aren't (weren't?) regulated there so she could do whatever she wanted and didn't have a machine shop. Thinking back on it, what are the odds she was a tranny?

I just find it funny using a fleshlight for a silencer, but you're correct. Even a hunk of wood, while I doubt it would hold up long, it could do it for a little bit. Just sucks for every guy with a normal revolver. Silencers don't do much with a J frame.

@Pocket Dragoon, the Rhino trigger is still not amazing. It's pretty heavy, but the thing that makes DA challenging is more the lack of smoothness - the whole pull has a really weird, "lumpy" quality - you can basically feel how weird the lockwork is under those side plates.

That said, I still love shooting the thing.

I just picked up a 40ds last month and I've got no problems with the trigger. The cocking lever is a pain in the ass to be practical, can't imagine relying on it. I think the reason I don't have any particular problem with the trigger is the only other revolvers I have are snubs with bobbed hammers (or shrouded in the case of the k6s) so I'm just used to a heavy double action pull.

That's exactly how the triggers felt on the two I tested, like lockwork geometries were off somehow; I've shot Saturday Night Specials with more refined triggers (albeit just as heavy). If they had been mine, I would've even opened them up to take a look for any obvious weirdness/wearing.

It's that difference of lockwork from regular revolvers which makes me wonder if the lumpy pull could be improved, without causing other issues up/downstream; though I kind of doubt many gunsmiths have much experience with Rhino tuning yet. It'd be expensive wherever I send it, and there's no real guarantees it could even be made better.

Still, if one comes along used at the right price I'll snatch it up; although it was a deal-breaker for me when they were new. But IDGAF if they were to do a model in .44 or .454, then it'd be a shut-up-take-money deal regardless of funky triggers. Because if I can't have a Mateba....

The 6" .44 Mateba was one of my first dream guns, and not because of the anime; but rather because I thought it'd be exactly what Harry Callahan would've used if he was in a Blade Runner-type future.

I was a total latefag to anime & manga (mostly), so the first time I saw one was in an issue of Shotgun News (irrc), long before I even knew about Trigun or Ghost in the Shell. I read it at my uncle's hunting cabin one fall, and later we rented Dirty Harry & Blade Runner on VHS from the bait store; that's where my fascination with the Mateba started. So when I saw it used in GitS much later, I kind of turned into a total nerd for that movie too.
