I know this isn't about guns, but i have narrowed down some quality options for a new knife that i want and it isnt crappy stainless steel, hollow pommel with malfuctioning compasses crap.
  1. Glock 78 or 81, second best price overall in Brazil, although its very easy to fake, i'm worried i might pay for a chink copy
  2. Ontario Survival knife, smallish kabar look alike with leather scabbard, looks neat and has a sharpening stone although its small, cheapest foreign knife
  3. Kabar 1219, the usmc version without the serrated bottom edge is unobtanium and 50% over the price of it, there's also the smaller variants for the same price as the ontario usaf one
  4. Imbel IA2 bayonet knife or it's larger AMZ jungle knife, both are made for bayonet use for our polymer fal copy, there's no info about it other than its full tang and made with 1070 carbon steel, its the cheapest overall here in local currency.
Literally just buy any fucking knife made of decent steel that you like the feel of ergonomically. Why are you specifically going out of your way to try to buy some sort of LE MILITARY BAYONET COMBAT KNIFE like you're 14 and trying to feel badass?

Kinda.
Is that too bad? Lmao.
I want a quality thing that will last more than a couple years and looks cool.
:c
Also I live in Brazil I'm surrounded by joggers and guns are outlawed again, it's not like I can CCW.

I mean... he could always mount it on a rifle
Why? Gonna rush the trenches?
Kinda.

1. It's larp and larp is gay.
2. Most bayonets are not great knives.
3. You're going to be carrying a fixed blade bayonet sized knife for self defense? Is this more larp or just placebo effect? Do you intend to actually train? And who will you defend yourself from with a knife, an unarmed nig?

I bought a 5 inch blade D2 Tool Steel knife from an ebay seller, dude makes em. Sheath was absurdly high quality, still slick with oil when I got it. Not crazy about the handle, will replace it. Some epoxy pretty purple blue thing. hard to hold when wet. But can't really bitch considering I won it on an ebay bid for about $200 less than it was listed as buy it now. But the blade itself, that thing is a fucking tank. I got it like last year, sharpened it up when I did. the steel is a bitch to sharpen, but keeps it's edge. A few months ago went camping and hunting with a buddy, was able to baton a shitton of kindling, and it still retained a keen enough edge to skin a doe pretty effortlessly. Makes a good general field knife I use around the farm, too. Just get one like that.

90% of murders here happen with long fish knives:

I've had a few encounters with homeless that ended as soon as they spotted a pocket knife clip on my pocket, other i had to brandish it.
I don't expect to fight with it, just carry around just in case and to use it when i go to fishing trips and camping and shit.

Too bad too, because I love tube magazine .22 rifles and I'd heard good examples of the 39A are fantastic.
Best tube .22 I have ever shot is my fiance's grandad's ROTC training rifle. It's a Mossberg 46M-B with the Mannlicher stock, option front sights, and rear flip peep sights. I had to fix it as it rotted in a basement for years, but it's my squirrel and rabbit gun. Even with .22 shorts, it is a laser beam.
Check em out if you get the chance. Everyone should have one. Pretty cheap, when you can find em.

Totally hypothetically speaking, how difficult would it be for one to acquire a reliable pistol where you're at? How serious would the legal consequences be for one who was caught by police carrying a concealed pistol? I'm asking only out of curiosity.

Would something like a Mora, a Becker, or an OKC Rat series knife be something that you could look into? I'd also suggest an ESEE, but I don't know how strict your budget is.

I'd never heard of these before. I'll definitely check one out, especially if I can find one with a Mannlicher stock. I have a Marlin 81TS currently. It's okay. It operates reliably but it's not particularly well made or accurate.

It's not tube fed but I've heard good things about the CZ 457 Varmint in .22 WMR. Anyone else run WMR firearms? If so, think they're worth a look?

They are obscenely cool. Especially if you can find one of the Bri'ish or American WW2 training runs. They were hard as fuck, but somewhere down the line, stopped using maple and switched to a lighter, less heavy wood. Not sure what. But I've shot both, and the heavier maple definitely feels nicer. Gets heavy though. Makes the rifle feel very sturdy when you line it up for a shot. I've not shot the non-mannlicher, non-ROTC versions, but I assume they can't be too different. Can even find some of the first runs that used little magazines instead of toob.
That marlin doesn't look too bad. Reminds me of some nondescript .22 bolts that my buddy and I shortened up into "pirate guns" to make em easier to hide in our backpacks so we could go hunting right after school.
Yup. Sometimes I'll bring out my Heritage RR in .22 WMR to deal with pest and varmints. .22 WMR is something I am much newer to, compared to my other rounds, but holy shit is it fun. All the joy of .22 with a lot more of the bang. Was looking for a bobcat while out on my property, and didn't feel undergunned. It pops.

Brazil? If it's legal to carry around, get a small-ish Tramontina machete in a good sheath. Locally sourced and all.

If you want something smaller, seconding the Ka-Bar/Becker/ESEE/OKC suggestions. Moras are great knives in the woods but bright colors and Scandinavian design don't exactly scare off joggers. For some Gucci shit, get a Busse.

Or get a cane sword. You can be the cane sword guy.

Morakniv knives (specifically the Companion) are cheap as chips, made of good steel and take abuse well. If you want something a little different, I really like this Ukrainian seller on Etsy. Not too expensive and they make a damned fine scandi grind camp knife.

While I won't post a picture of it for obvious reasons- I will tell you about my personal carry pistol and the only pistol I own, as I am quite proud of it. I decided to create a "Frankenstein" 1911 with alot of character and loosely inspired by some of the unique weapons in Fallout: New Vegas:

Para Ordnance P14-45 Double-Stack 1911 Frame (Magazines carry 14 rounds of .45 ACP)
Original Colt EXERCITO BRASILEIRO Slide from the contract in the 1930's
Fiber Optic sights (Green back sights, red front sight)
Pachmayer Mainspring housing
Stainless steel Commander hammer
Titanium-Nitride Bull Barrel
African Bloodwood grips

I'm thinking about later getting it a jeweled trigger and getting is coated with Duracoat, and possibly an ambidexterious safety.

I bought this just to have one but this Beretta 51 is a great pistol. I basically don't shoot my 92(s) anymore. has a very crisp trigger and the cross bolt safety and heel mag release isn't that bad at all. Mags are the worst thing about it - I bought 4 mags along with the gun and combined they cost ~$100 more than what a spend on the pistol itself. If you see one for a decent price I'd buy it.
stay away from the iraqi and egyptian ones though, i hear bad things.
