It has a fixed firing pin, not floating. Unless you pull it back or pull the trigger, it's not doing anything.Ahh if it doesn't have a transfer bar and you drop it on it's hammer or smack the hammer hard enough it might.

It's actually the MIM parts that go into their P series, there's been several vidyas on youtube and forum discussions about it the main perpetrator is a company called Indo-MIM who have several facilities one of which is in the US.View attachment 5.webpWhat parts? If anything it's polymer and even that's a stretch.
My S&W combat magnum does not have a transfer bar and it won't do that because it has a rebounding hammer. Revolvers from respectable manufacturers have been drop safe for 100 years (this often does not apply to really cheap off-brand snubbies or .22 revolvers) one way or another because their customers demanded it out of a combat weapon.Ahh if it doesn't have a transfer bar and you drop it on it's hammer or smack the hammer hard enough it might.
The old Smiths won't, because hammer mounted firing pin and there is a literal block of metal preventing the hammer from moving forward into the frame of the gun without the trigger being pulled to move it out of the way. That being said, I do carry the Smith when carrying IWB on one empty, because old gun and I don't want to be the first person to have that security measure break off or fail.Ahh if it doesn't have a transfer bar and you drop it on it's hammer or smack the hammer hard enough it might.
so what you're saying is the NYC police trigger means "unintended shots that strike bystanders" are in-fact intended to be fired and it is officer negligence or disregard for public safety that resulted in all those bystanders being shot.To be fair, a revolver like mine has a 10 pound trigger pull. It's only going off when you make a deliberate effort
imho the Razor has eyebox issues above 6x or 6.5x, the Vudu is heavier but it is better in most measurable ways. i've used the older PLx and it's pretty good for the money, especially with the ACSS reticle, however it is also getting quite close to the next "tier" of optics depending on price. PLxC might follow this pattern. a hunting friend's Razor HD took a nasty 20+ ft drop while hunting big horn sheep and came out scratch up and fully functional if that's worth anything to you.I need a good LPVO for a general purpose rifle. I'm down to a Razor HD gen3 1-10, Vudu 1-10, and PA PLxC 1-8. Anyone got any advice for me?
I mean yes? The NYC cops have always come off as assholes. I can believe they're twitchyso what you're saying is the NYC police trigger means "unintended shots that strike bystanders" are in-fact intended to be fired and it is officer negligence or disregard for public safety that resulted in all those bystanders being shot
The heavy glock trigger was initially installed because so many in NYPD were transitioning straight from revolvers to glocks in the late 90s early 2000s. So many things that you do with a revolver trigger are not safe with a Glock's trigger. for instance some academies taught officers to begin pulling the trigger as they were on the draw. you can also "stage" a revolver's trigger by pulling the trigger ~90% of the way back and holding it there. can't do that on a glock.so what you're saying is the NYC police trigger means "unintended shots that strike bystanders" are in-fact intended to be fired and it is officer negligence or disregard for public safety that resulted in all those bystanders being shot.

It's main issue is that combining the good features of both the AR and AK just pisses both sides off, they don't want a workable solution, they want to be mad. Also, it wasn't as reliable as the AK, you couldn't stuff a ham sandwich in it and have it still function so that means it was crap. There was one The Firearm's Blog guy who had a gun that gave him issues at one of the shows and that was that, even though other people didn't have those problems. The main reason it vanished though is just price. It was an expensive gun right as PSA and fears of Hillary becoming president dropped the prices of AR-15 through the floor. The sad part was they had a working ARAK-31, the AR-10 version of it, just before all of that. Imagine being able to quick swap between all the .308 tier stuff, it would have been nice. It's the funniest thing. I remember when the ARAK-21 came out, and I remember that people had negative opinions about it, but when I asked about it, nobody could explain their dislike or what was bad about it, even people who I felt were pretty knowledgeable and experienced with guns.
Personally, I like the idea of long-stroke piston + Stoner/Johnson style rotating bolt, you know, like the Stoner 63.
A sad mindset. I always thought the Daewoo K2 seemed like a very nice halfway between the M16 and AKM, and always wanted one of those, even though I'm an ARfag at heart. The FNC also comes to mind. It's main issue is that combining the good features of both the AR and AK just pisses both sides off, they don't want a workable solution, they want to be mad.
Commonly demanded by people who only ever shoot their guns on a clean range. Also, it wasn't as reliable as the AK, you couldn't stuff a ham sandwich in it and have it still function so that means it was crap.
That's another similar one I've seen. On the Robinson Arms XCR some people will cite an article someone wrote where he had lots of trouble with one and it shot like +9MOA or something, and they deem the rifle trash. There was one The Firearm's Blog guy who had a gun that gave him issues at one of the shows and that was that, even though other people didn't have those problems.
Both the K2 and FNC are nice. I like my AR, but I miss the days when it wasn't just all AR all the time. Part of me always wanted Beretta's 5.56 entry in the Storm series of guns, to go with my CX4, but it's pricy and they were unhappy enough with it to give it to Benelli.A sad mindset. I get stress testing guns to see their limits, I do, but how often are you, realistically, going to be firing buried in mud? Or in dirt and sand tornadoes?Commonly demanded by people who only ever shoot their guns on a clean range.
Here we go, Just a blogger at the time, so it didn't make TFB. Also an old one from AKOUThat's another similar one I've seen. On the Robinson Arms XCR some people will cite an article someone wrote where he had lots of trouble with one and it shot like +9MOA or something, and they deem the rifle trash.
Nobody read the part where he said he bought the rifle used, nor the followup article where he sent it in for warranty work, and they concluded "The previous owner crossthreaded the everloving Bejesus out of the barrel retaining bolt, so the barrel is loose and wiggles in place, also it's set to the highest gas setting." They fixed that for him for free, and he got it shooting a consistent 1MOA. He was very happy with the rifle afterwards.
So I take it you weren't a Marine 0311?i've carried the M9 through deserts for many years and it never gave me or others i worked with any troubles as long as we used italian magazines.
(along with the lime green M16 magazine follower replacement)
You two are giving me nostalgia feels. The plastic Sig was my first pistol (technically the 2340).Far as SIG goes the only good plastic blaster they made was the SP2022.
I didn't run them in combat personally but I did get trigger time on the 249 and the 240B. I much prefer the 240, even over the M60 and for sure over the 249. Anyone here actually shoot at people with any of these?got pretty clapped out after a long and hard service life, like the poor M249s.
No LPVO is going to be perfect but based on my experience the 1-10 Vudu with the milrad reticle is very hard to beat if you can get it < $1400.I need a good LPVO for a general purpose rifle. I'm down to a Razor HD gen3 1-10, Vudu 1-10, and PA PLxC 1-8. Anyone got any advice for me?
I vote for BUIS and the M4.I am in hard debate on the for rail on the M16A4 clone.
Go with a carry hangle or a Magpul Pro LR backup sight with a Comp M4.
.375H&H is honestly one of the better rounds out there IMO. Can be loaded hot enough for dangerous game or down loaded for deer or varmints. its a great jack of all trades round.@Dean Pentel sorry on late reply, the #1 I have is 416 ruger/Rigby. Ain't cheap to feed hand loads or not! Yeah after learning more 375H&H is definitely on my "to look cool online" purchases. Plus it's the go to big cat round. I might hunt but I'm a nature geek and love me some big cats so I'm aware how bad they can ruin your day. I'm not in tiger county but better safe than sorry right?
So shot show made me wonder they have the new hush puppy, any chance they will sell or is there a cheap way to set a slide lock? Just for fun project. Mrs basso has a dagger so g19 slides fit and I have a 9mm can.

I think gun laws are very retarded.
nope, US Army with a sprinkling of other agencies/departments.So I take it you weren't a Marine 0311?
remember when we first had the M4A1 or A4 and you had to keep the carry handle because God Himself will come down on you if you lost it? or when "raiderized" BDUs were the cool guy thing to wear and you still had actual assault vests over an RBA (or i guess for you the FSBE AAV) instead of MOLLE on everything? good times.nostalgia feels
M240H once and M60/M60E3 in a vehicle role several times, M249 not really. most times were just with a rifle or carbine of one kind or another.Anyone here actually shoot at people with any of these?
Because you're a based god and want to fucking kill a faggot ass polar bear with one shot even tho that bitch be wearing body armor.Might I ask why you want to carry 10mm? Seems reduced capacity and much higher recoil than 9mm are reasons enough to avoid it.
