Did they do the retarded "combat hold" like the original?
They sure did and I fucking despise handguns that do this. Factoring in that only shitty companies currently make any holsters for this gun (not including TXC, but definitely including Crossbreed because I hate them, their shitty holsters, and their absolute lack of QC on them) and the fact that any aftermarket support will be quite a ways away, and I don't see myself taking this thing out very often.

Yeah. On the originals someone noted you could swap in a front sight from a Shield corrected the height and I slapped in a Triji front.

Bros, I've done something.

Dropped a 16.25" Howa 308 barreled action in a Hera H7 chassis, slapped an x1-8 LPVO on it, and got an EFAB flash hider coming my way soon, maybe a suppressor later.

Very much a Space Ranger kind of vibe, the barrel protrudes just a couple of inches past the handguard, proportions are just right. Kinda blasty but the EFAB should help.
I did the same with a 20" heavy barrel .308 action and a more traditional 4-16x44 last year and it's probably my current favorite thing to shoot.

I also did some accessorizing and rattlecan stuff (MDT bolt knob and Oryx bipod, Accu-Shot monopod, funky M-Lok "match saver" widget):

Can you revolver nerds help me out? I'm looking for a revolver that looks just like this, the only problem this one is in 44 special and I want either 357 or 45colt. I like the short barrel, exposed ejector, ROUNDED wood grip.
charter arms themselves used to make the Bulldog model in .357, but it was discontinued years ago.

S&W had a similar round-butt .357 with the Model 13, which is still floating around but out of production, but the model 67, a K frame, replaced it and can be had in short barrel variations (the model 15 is the same revolver in blued steel). issue with the S&W is they have a detente lug to retain the ejector under the barrel. the Colt New Service and Shooting Master had a couple rare short barrel variations as well.

Take the .44 special, it's a reloader dream.
.44 spl is a bit rarer than .44 mag in general, so i can see why many avoid it just if they want easy ammo availability and aren't into reloading.

Found an S&W Model 15 with a 4" barrel at another local store today for $459. Very very tempting.

Took the Canik out shooting this past weekend, it performed beautifully again. Did find out my Canik mags fit into a BUL Cherokee, but they are too short for it to feed. Forgot to see if the BUL mags fit in my Canik lol but it's a great shooter, quite accurate from what I've been able to see. No ragrets, only god can juj me

Check out Privateer Leather or Nightingale Leather. They may offer holsters for the H9. Both are quality leathersmiths, with Privateer being more affordable with fewer bells and whistles and Nightingale being more expensive, but having more options. I have rigs from both for my Dan Wesson and love them both, but my Nightingale shoulder rig is my favorite rig I've ever owned. You may also want to check out Mernickle Custom Holsters, another quality maker.

The barrel is 3" (I looked at the pic I took of it and noticed it was marked on the price tag as that. I'm a dumbass for missing that detail) but mechanically the gun is in great shape. And the price they're asking beats anything on Gunbroker any day of the week. Fuuuuck I don't need this gun, but I want it.

Gunjoker is always a scam. Only sell on there to jew boomers out of their SSI checks

I'd rather spend the extra $100 on the quality bump that you get with an S&W honestly.

So out of boredom I drove to the local Sportsmans to look at pistols. That's the most American way to kill time ever short of actually going to the range. Wasn't really impressed by the fit and finish on the Charter revolvers but the S&W/Rugers felt pretty nice. The 637 airweight felt nice even if the grip was a little thin in my giant ogre hands. PSA has them for $500 and it's +p rated.
Don't be afraid of checking out used Smiths either. Got mine cheap, a older model 36, pre Hillary hole. Have to be a bit more gentle with it, +p is basically duty use only, but other than that it shoots wonderfully, very accurate for a snubby.

And I ordered a SW 637 from PSA. Happy birthday to me.
great to carry and 5-shots of something mean is a great little defender. a very popular set of "must haves" that people like are a fiber optic or high visibility front sight and perhaps a grip swap to something that fills the hand to make shooting feel better.

I now own a semi auto MG42, I have waited almost 3 years to own one. It did not like my yugo ammo so I'm buying a case of romanian as it seemed to like it (it's also recommended in BRPs manual) I'm probably going to throw a binary on it and just run it without the safety, I know you can 3D print a safety block for a binary but meh. Lewman arms actually does not warranty their MG42s with binarys due to increased wear and the chance for an OOB, I don't know if it's just boomer talk but it was on a forum I found. Its not as fun as the real deal but it only cost me around 4k after parts and labor and I can say i own a MG42 which is baller

"Spectre" AR Lower by Dev Infinity Arms
Recessed pockets for the eyebolt nuts, less things to snag on and give it a cleaner look
Features
-A top down heat insert (M4 size) for the grip. I've been able to put significant strain on the grip without any mechanical -failure of the lower.
-Flared magwell
-Fins for extra support
-A large trigger guard for glove use
-Contoured area around the u-bolt and buffer tube so you can easily get your fingers around the charging handle
-Contours around the front take down pin area so the upper can pivot freely to a pretty large degree
-A cutout for the safety so you can actually access it, unlike the awkward situation on the UBAR. Also compatible with ambi safeties!

Planned updates
-M16 Cut Lower
-Double Fins for uppers without a forward assist
-Different calibers, namely 9mm.

Can survive the pushup test when done by a 230lb man for an unknown amount of reps

It's official, no fanboy can deny or cope about it any longer. The handguards on the MCX family are garbage, SOCOM has put the final nail in the coffin by putting out a contract for a non shit handguard
