Why not stick with Glocks for both 22LR and 9mm? Not that there's anything wrong with the choices, just makes it easier to get familiar with it when the manual of arms and the handling is similar.

Also, obligatory CZ75 suggestion.

Get a different .22lr I've heard lots of complaints about the Glock 44. Ruger's Mark IV offering is great if they are available to you.

I think they're a lot of fun to shoot. I wish I had bought one back when you could get them for under a grand. The SVT-40 was the best semi-auto rifle of World War Two that wasn't the Garand.

if you dont have at least 4 sentry guns from tf2 on your compound will not last a year in america, expect human wave attacks every week

Not sure whether this is autistic theorycrafting, or if sheltering in place is a genuine concern to you, but if it's the latter, you don't need an expensive panic room for that.
Field expedient protection will do fine against small arms.

I'm only cyber stalking you to monitor your potentially engaging with my ss13 server, but I would really recommend starting out cheap and only working your way up once you know what you like. If you start out expensive you will most likely regret it
 
well I want to try shit. My main thing is with the equipment weight. I'm going to have to get muscle mass to adequately carry the equipment.

Agree on this. When I first moved back to this neck of the woods and this property, first thing now wife and I did was bring over some homemade ginger beers and root beers and some homemade mulberry pie to the surrounding neighbors. They're all older. Then, I'd randomly weedeat or shovel their driveways. Now it's really nice to get a text or call saying, "Hey, there is some car pulled in your drive/is this person supposed to be on your property?" And borrow tools I may not have.
We get a lot of trespassers towards mushroom season, we have a lot of woods. We get heads up from anyone in the area. Even the cops are now cool after getting some deer meat, they'll make a call heads up first before going anywhere near my place to make sure I know they'll be there for whatever reason and don't shoot em.
Best was when we had a break in attempt, my hound went off towards the front door and made noises I hope to never hear in my life again. Dude fled immediately upon hearing that (it scared me, and that's my dog. I no longer have to imagine what a hellhound sounds like, I've heard it.) and I chased out to my yard with a pistol but he was long gone by that point. Got caught later thanks to a network of neighbors looking out for each other.

Start doing tren so that you can move all those sandbags to fortify your house yourself, while wearing your gear.

I'd never discourage anyone from building muscle mass, but aren't you more focused on stationary defense? You can afford to have a much heavier loadout if you're just expecting to defend your home. Heavy loadouts become an issue when you start moving for hundreds of meters.

Definitely prioritize arms and core then so you can get into funky positions to shoot if needed and hold your rifle steady while doing so.

A lot of people question the utility of a ton of body armor. I would contend that for defending your home its a bit useless and you would be better off mostly practicing close range shooting and also making sure your house is of a construction to give you an advantage (my dream house I intend on building has no windows on the first floor)

If you really want armor join a militia or something, that might involve running around in the woods at night in armor but you should figure out what their standards are. IDK how many feel a plate carrier is all that helpful for defending your house though

Particularly with night vision. Shits seriously fucking expensive for just the tubes alone. at least buy other aspects of your kit first & make sure you REALLY know what you're doing before dropping 4k on a PVS-14.

I'd consider Milsurp stuff, honestly. It's not the absolute best, but it's good enough at much more affordable prices, and you can suss out what works and what doesn't with a smaller dent to your wallet.

It's all expensive with night vision or thermal, no way about it. I recommend instead of nods for a first purchase to get a decent high quality thermal monocular. Can get some use out of it during the day too. Then can get the nods later.

Milsurp clothes work well for a start, but for a PC or a chest rig I'd buy a new or very lightly used one, but still has to be modern. Some of the older backpacks are good too.

Nothing says discreet like the man in a windowless house that never leaves without plates and a rifle. Militias are a good way to network with federal agents though, and I bet they know a lot about guns.

I'd argue instead that body armor is at it's best in a stationary position where you can quickly get medical help by dialing 911 after the fact. You don't have to carry the extra weight of armor far when you are just in a single location. Limbs can have tourniquets applied until you get to a hospital.

The "End of the World" or Civil War scenario that people often prep body armor for doesn't seem to really acknowledge that getting shot in the chest vs other areas doesn't make as much of a meaningful difference when both are mortal wounds without the miracle of modern medicine, infection control practices, and surgery.

I agree with the rest of your post that puts emphasis on good house construction and design placed towards easily defendable areas. I think that putting attention towards preventing being shot in the first place is far wiser than trying to prep for the largely unpredictable scenario of bullets actually hitting your body.
