You still need to practice with your carry ammo. Recoil, impact point, etc will differ so you need to use at least enough of your expensive ammo to be accurate with it, not as much as your pure target ammo, but still some.
Only thing I know that goes through lvl 4 is 30-06 AP after multiple hits.

Yeah and for rifles it affects stuff like zeros too. If I use cheap wolf 223 ammo for a zero I won’t have the same zero for my 77 grain bthp 5.56 which I have for self defense which is different than the 55 grain 5.56 I use for competition (I just have a competition and a self defense gun to keep it simple)

You might be thinking of m993 although that is rather low availability, the manufacturers are cucked fairly hard in terms of being allowed to distribute real AP ammo

Nah, the only way to defeat a tranny death squad is an elephant rifle. Anything not suited for killing a charging bull elephant will get you killed.
You get used to it in the gun community. I still know someone who insists his FN FAL is the only rifle people should own. And then there's the AK guys who still insist it's the best set up despite constantly pulled the trigger on an empty mag because there's no bolt lock on empty. And for all my talk about practice and gear set up, Kyle Rittenhouse performed phenomenally under stress and action that day with a set up that repulses me. Not to mention there's been many times I'll recommend excellent gear and someone will go out and buy a surplus german kevlar vest because they think flecktarn is cool.
Greatest thing about it is it's the only rifle you can get shipped directly to your door if you buy through CMP. All you need is to fill out the sheet, be with a club, and get a notary to confirm it all. If any Americans havent gotten one I do recommend it. (probably going to pick up another in 308 for the New Vegas vibes)

Don't forget that the whole system is fairly robust save for the op rod. If you get a new gas plug it will happily cycle all your autistic high pressure AP stuff.
I hate to break it to you, but just about anything fired indoors will cause immediate damage to your hearing.
I'll have you know that the high-pitched whining noises in my head tell me that several years of firing .22LR indoors is perfectly fine. While 7.62 indoors will fuck your ears, combined with concussion (and flash if the troon death squad come at night) you may as well be dropping a flashbang at your own feet. I know for a fact shotguns aren't louder than rifles as I have done a fair bit of shotgunning sans hearing protection.
