Marketing has convinced us that we need a primary defensive arm that has had 5,000 rounds put through it and a Ship of Theseus makeover to prove reliability before it can be taken seriously, but even the most notable one-shot drops have been done with bare bones, unexciting pieces like a Kel-Tec pocket gun or an unlubed M&P Sport.
What a lot of gun autists don't realize, and what a lot of grifters won't say out loud, is that the majority of gun buyers in America are normies who won't put even 1k rounds through any gun they buy in a lifetime. A lot of people will buy a gun and never shoot it, or buy it, take it to the range one time to the tune of <100 rounds, and then never shoot it again. And even if they do use it in a self-defense situation, that's a once-in-a-lifetime sort of thing and you usually only fire a single digit number of rounds then. As long as it works up to and including that point, that's all that matters. How many rounds did Rittenhouse put through his M&P 15 before he used it to defend his life?

People cite the autist that runs "School of the American Rifle" on YouTube as to why a PSA BCG is inefficient because it leaks gas but they don't realize that, because it still functions and tosses projectiles with a vague sense of accuracy, even a poorfag can protect his castle when the door gets kicked in at night without buying a BCM or LRT or what have you.
Exactly. SOTAR has been a blessing AND a curse. He does call out trash but at the same time if something isn't 150% better than milspec or is slightly off a "Green" go/nogo gauge (so just into yellow) he'll start sperging and saying that part XYZ/Weapon XYZ is UTTER GARBAGE RRHEEE.

Bought 5k rounds of 9mm. RIP credit card. I think if you want to get good, you have to splurge on ammo, at least once. I intend to fire every round before the year ends and make them count. No junk volume, only drills that brings improvement. I can already feel the pain in my hand, but it's going to be so worth it, I hope.

Has he ever even acknowledged that he was paid to do all the product placement he does?

I thought that had been required on videos for at least a couple years now. Never seen him even acknowledge that.
He does for the overt sponsorships but when he gets a hold of a new firearms he doesn't always. Usually it's "I got sent it by a friend" or some shit.

He deserves all the shit he gets for not moving off youtube earlier or fucking off into the sunset.
I do feel bad for the folks who made purely educational videos like how the Chicago Institute of Watchmaking or George Daniels did.

Use a shot timer once you have basic competence and muscle memory. You need metrics like time and distance to measure improvement. Your brain lies to you. Being on the clock also adds the barest amount of artificial stress. Shooting with friend using callout target (varying numbers, colors, shapes, etc) is a way to step your game up.

I really need to get one, you are right. I'm good at standing drills and Mozambique, etc, but my brain could be lying to me and I could suck. I'm also not used to running and gunning with live ammo, only blue guns. This will be a nice change of pace.

I doubt you suck, you're likely just slower than you think. Look for drills that challenge you in multiple ways ie. they incorporate movement, multiple skills (like reloads or malfunctions), or decision making. You can start out just loading your mags with random amounts to force reloads into drills you're already comfortable with. Once you're comfortable with that, add in a snap cap or two to further complicate it. Invest in some good snap caps. I like P2.

A couple drills I like to gauge where I'm at is the FAST and Vickers 10 drill. You can jazz them up in different ways as you get better at them.

Also, I know nothing about DS Arms AR's , but I know that their FAL clones are a fucking mess.
DSA can't even make FAL mags properly lmao. What makes you think they can build FALs or make them from scratch?!
It would be impractical. The grease they run in would be a magnet for gunpowder and jam. A sealed bearing group would be heavyer and larger than the other options. And if you can clean the bearings, you can lose a ball bearing, and now your gun don't work. I think they do use ball bearings in turrets for rotation, but thats about it. That and shoving the balls into shotshells... hypothetically.
The other issue, ball bearings generally don't like moisture (rust) because you can't use ceramic, so your stuck using Chromed steel. Same applies for the lubricant, if you use the wrong one you can kiss them goodbye (Ask me how I know). Deformation of the ball bearing is pretty fatal to the entire bearing.
If you use specialized bearings (Maybe Aluminum Bronze but then you'd need a oil like solvent) they won't be hard enough usually.

The only way this might work on an infantry weapon would be something like radial crankshaft arm to the bolt in full auto fun mode with a bearing inside. I seem to recall the Soviets had a similar prototype for an aircraft mg (not the R-23). Even then it'd be a SAW or a vehicle weapon sheerly from the insane rate of fire on it. Be good for drone CIWS though lmao.
If you're looking for max fire rate then maybe the stack projectile Metal Storm meme device. Say goodbye to you, your cover, and the dozen FPV drones behind you.

If you're looking for Infantry weapons: TKB-0136–3M

Speaking of Karl the cuck, YouTube thought I'd like to see a video with him and the turbo ultra mega faggot retard "Atun Shei" emitting some verbal diarrhea about Union civil war firearms.

After reporting the video for misinformation (not like I'm gonna watch it) I told YouTube I never want to see anything from those two retards EVER again.

Atun-Shei is a dumbfuck tour guide who thinks he's hot shit because of.... Reasons. I actually think he fantasies about murdering white Southerners....

Oh, and on a more personal front, my Beretta 1301 Comp PRO came in last night 😎

You mean this video? Like I said on the MATI thread, I thought they didn't allow reloading of firearms lmao. That and I hope those two end up on the wrong side of a bayonet charge. Never have I seen more of a display of blatant poofery, never in all my life!

If you want a range toy that you drunkenly blast a few rounds into the air with on the 4th/New years, fine. If you want an actual rifle to train with to use for defensive purposes/SHTF etc maybe people should consider not buying the literal cheapest option available.
You support PSA because you can do so with a clean conscience, they actually make some effort in pushing unique products out, and they charge shit rod prices for shit rod guns instead of scam prices for scam guns. The PSA rifle will usually work out of the box for at least a little bit. Their ammo is phenomenal, AAC has been a massive blessing for shooters.

FALs are hard, DSA is trying and has gotten better making them. Their ARs are nice.
They keep pushing new product lines that they dont properly develop or do proper QA/QC on and alot of their ammo has needed many months of teething before it wont detonate your firearm. The 55 gr 556 they put out was (and still is afaik) shredding suppressors due to case separation. CONSOOM

Someone is big mad that some downy marine exposed PSA AKs for the head space losing grenades that they are.

I'm fairly certain you exclusively use social media to inform your world view on guns and likely don't shoot enough to have the experience under your belt to speak on any of this. PSA guns are bad. Their ammo is great. The company is ethical. None of those things have to effect you if you don't want them too.

I thought you meant the old /k/ Anonymous' guide to a select fire conversion on the AR platform (By: Not FBI)...
