Allegedly, Supposedly, the Ukrainian equivalent of the SEALS (73rd Maratime Special Operations) has a woman amongst their ranks (and the unit as a whole seems to have a love affair with the HRF Concepts Skiff)

yeah, im no expert, but it does seem that being able to quickly and accurately mass artillery onto a target and having more and better drones than the other guy are more likely to be a deciding factor in modern war than small arms.
The only really noteworthy lesson learned from Ukraine regarding small arms is that shotguns have actually become useful in a military context, in an anti-drone role. Otherwise, it's pretty much confirming the lessons people learned already back in WW2 (although it took the US 20 more years to figure out that assault rifles > battle rifles).

I don't get it, if you're going to be using an AR barrel and bolt then why not make it semiauto? It's not like this is anywhere near easy to 100% DIY. But hey at least the BLC troons released something beyond a harlot.

yeah, it is funny how often the same lessons have to be learned and relearn, and how long it takes militaries to catch on. what i find amusing is just how often every miltary since ww1 has had to relearn the lesson that 'tanks arnt invincible, you cant just throw them into battle with no support and expect them to win.'

H&K are expanding US Operations under the newly created HK USA brand are onshoring production, meaning that H&K will be producing Firearms in America. They also teased "3 major new/enhanced platforms between mid-October and the HK Pro WOFT Event in February". Speculation is running rampant in regards to what the "new/enhanced platforms" could be, some saying Semi auto MP7 Pistols, to updated MR223 series guns, to that Microcompact HK showed off at a European trade show a couple years ago, to simply new VP9 SKU's.

As someone who already owns a US made HK45, I hope to fuckin' gawd they start building USP's in country, or even better, fucking update the USP with a proper Pic rail, as the monkey model P30 just isn't as good.

The HK45 is not as good as the USP 45, either, due to having 10 round vs 12 round mags. Yes I will make a big deal about this, as a .45 cal USP really isn't much different to hold than an HK45, despite the "slimmer" grip.

I also want a proper "compact" sized VP9 that is the size of a G19, and not an SK (think like the old USP Compact, and the P2000), with proper 15 round flush fit magazines in the same form factor as the 13 rnd compact magazines.

They already make a subcompact VP 9. I carry the full size, so I have no interest in a smaller one.
I want a Glock 19 sized VP9 that uses the old USP compact magazines, goddammit.
Fuck the SK, they're too small, and fuck magazines with grip extensions, HK can do better than that.

VP9 is the best gun HK has ever made. Don’t @ me.

CDNN has VP9 Match uppers in stock, and I think I may just get one.

I really like my tactical grey HK's, but my HK45 is OD green, because I got a screeming deal on it ($700 otd at a time before you could get Black HK45's for that much).

I sort of wish I got the 45C instead, as it does everything the HK45 does, but smaller.

I've been thinking about snub-nose revolvers, and I bet you could make a pretty small cylinder if you're only trying to hold 4 round of .45acp with moon clips. Give it a good trigger, an internal hammer for DAO, and some decent grips and I'd have a perfect back-up for my G21.
That would be pretty cool ngl. I could see Tauras doing that. Don't know why, but it feels like their wheelhouse.
I have a sneaking suspicion that if it's over Taiwan and not REMOTELY close to US soil they will use Depleted Uranium instead of tungsten.
DU small arms ammo would certainly be a sight to behold. We don't actually know what 6.8x51mm AP is made of, other than its 15 bucks a round currently. Could be the case, could be it's using tungsten, who knows.

You probably saw the Oxide video where he somehow got a couple .308s and ended up firing them in a jank manner. Even when very undercharged one of them blazed straight through a plate with a super clean and tiny hole.

Tbh DU would be THE best thing as long as it was like a sealed FMJ or something and you didn't give a shit about that land. I'd hope it isn't used in Taiwan, more for an offensive thing where you're gonna fuck their grandkids even if you have to back out.

As for price, I wonder if that's the real price or just the "list price" and then they pay 1/3 that like they do with all their shit. Although Cappy is a fedfag, he did bring to attention that the factory may be trying to pay off their new machinery and maybe new building within a reasonable timeframe.
Still, I wouldn't be willing to make those projectiles for that much, TC is some hard shit to deal with as it either has to be sintered in shape or diamond ground.

DU would be awesome for penetration. And cheaper than tungsten. It just would be a hard sell internationally. But it would be worth it if the horde you're going against is decked out in Level IV and driving around in older lightly armored vehicles.

That's another thing. If 6.8 performs as advertised, old cold war vehicles are vulnerable as fuck. A guy with a XM7 can flip on full auto, mag dump 20-25 rounds of super ammo into a light skinned APC or truck and disable it.

Also no haven't seen that video. Do u have it?

Saw that video. I think the price is a scale thing rn, agree with Cappy. Only the US is using 6.8x51mm, and only in small batches. Get it going in mass production and adopt it throughout NATO, costs will drop. I say that because the regular brass training round costs more than 300 win mag, despite using less powder and having a lighter bullet.

I could see Taurus* doing that.
Same, especially considering that they released this meme a decade ago.

I think it may be the silliest .38 special ever made (for the life of me I could've swore they made some of these in .32 acp but I can't find them, probably misremembering their .32 sw models), production didn't last long at all but they did sell some!

That's adorable. But yeah. If anyone is going to make a 4 shot 45 acp pocket revolver, it's Taurus, they know how to meme, intentionally or not.
