There’s a contingent of gun owner that’s convinced all cops are morons that know nothing about firearms as opposed to them because they shoot a deer once a year and dick off at the range couple times a month.

LEO are the only ones carrying the P320 for meaningful hours and there’s plenty of footage of the guns going off.

Siggers are quickly becoming the Pitt mommies of the gun world.
In brighter news my zoomer co-worker is shopping for something to replace his P320. I've pointed him towards pretty much every "good" striker option, hopefully he winds up with something like an M&P or a Walther PDP.

Are you filing as a trust? I know when the ATF switched to their new faster system filing as a trust still took considerably longer.

No, individual transfers. I didn't want to go through the hassle of setting up a trust, and I think one day we will see suppressors deregulated.

Funny you mention Indian injection molding, their previous rifle, the INSAS, allegedly had plastic magazines and furniture that was poor quality to the point where most of their soldiers hated the firearm.
They also couldn't into welding. Compare the INSAS to any AKM and you'll find a rivet where a spotweld should be

Here's a link from a native Indian Gun forum that goes over the design in detail
https://www.indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=9131
the plastic on the INSAS was too brittle, but the bigger issue was that the manufacturing varied wildly between 3 furniture makers - literally plastic injection molded chairs and stools
Hungary had this issue with their polymer furniture on the AMD rifles. The reason they're blue is because they only had access to food grade plastics. Somewhat understandable given they were poor, communist, sanctioned, and in the 20th century. India is just poor but like come on now. The East German Pebble stuff is known to be kinda bad too.

No problem. I did a lot of research on these guns before I bought mine. It's a current production Ranch Rifle, 585 series. It's fun, I like the tiny Garand action it has. Like an alternative reality where the Garand/M14 was adapted into a SCHV cartridge in the late 50's. Here's a link to the bushings https://www.ruger-mini-14-firearms.com/Gas-Reduction-Bushing-Kit.php. I used the .040 inch bushing and have good reliability, winter time needs higher pressure 5.56 to cycle well but in the summer the difference is night and day. Another thing to consider is installing a 1911 buffer on the rearmost end of the operating rod's recoil assembly. Keeps the rifle from slamming into itself as hard, even with the reduced gas pressure. I experimented with having another buffer on the foremost end but ended up with the rifle unlocking prematurely and invoking more reliability issues. Cogburn Arsenal makes some neat aftermarket parts, like stripper clip guides and bayonet lugs. A lot of people shit on the Mini, and the older ones were crap, but I like the history of knowing these neat little things were used in Rhodesia and Ireland, and it's kind of neat having a tiny Garand that shoots affordable effective ammunition. I just like em bros.
also whats a good recommendation for LPVO optic I was thinking trijicon 1-6

Picked up my new can tonight. Decided to snap some photos of it. It came with a .46 cal front cap, a second .30 cal front cap, and SilencerCo's ASR mount. As I said, I need to get a Charlie Piston Mount, a piston for the Mark 23, probably a 9mm piston and front cap so I can use it on my 9mm pistols until I can afford a dedicated 9mm can, and either a direct thread mount or a .45 cal muzzle device in the same thread pitch that Ruger uses on the new Marlin rifles since I definitely plan on getting a Marlin 1895 SBL in .45-70 Govt. I'm definitely stoked to be getting everything set up for mounting it on my Mark 23 and taking it to the range as soon as I can. Now if only someone will get the Charlie Piston Mount in stock...

Make sure whoever you sell it to isn't putting it in a revolver

despite some of this ammo i've got being .460 S&W i never considerd selling it to old, retarded people. shit, what if nobody involved cares? the ammo is corroded, the caliber is sure to confuse, and people like to be ripped off.

i mean, you can usually use vinegar and flour paste with a scrubbing brush to remove most sorts of brass corrosion. unless the ammo is too far gone with setback or something modern ammo is pretty resilient.

gentle cleaner and brass/plastic brush
sell it to a pawn shop or black person

I've got a buddy who has recently been bit by the Mini-14 bug. He's got one in 5.56mm and he's planning on doing a second one built up to basically be an 80s style KAC-556k with the wood folding stock and everything, but in .300blk with a sound suppressor and modern red dot. He's an odd duck with odd tastes in firearms (though I share some of those same tastes, such as vintage S&W N Frames and M14s), but he's my bro and a good guy.
I thoroughly like it as an alternative after shooting quiet a few ARs I learned I don't really care for the platform nothing wrong with it per se I just want a different platform and as a HUGE fudd taste wise the mini keeps the cool garand action with a flair for the modern

Seems the CMP is disassembling Mod 1 and 0's to build more normal Garands. People have said this for years but really if you want a Garand get one soon. They really are dwindling

why wouldn't I want it?
FAB Arms isn't making pistol grips for it anymore and the stock/"SAW" grips suck ass
Otherwise the ergonomics are leagues ahead of any other cold war battle rifle. Length of pull is also fine, ignore the gimpy Brits.

I'm so glad I don't want one, it's in such a horrible spot in the public eye. People don't give a shit about them they just want to have it to say they do and post it once or twice on instagram like a purse dog.

I guess I don't understand your view. There's certainly people who only want one to say they do for sure, but I think most people I've seen genuinely care about the history and had family who carried one. The only people who shouldn't have them are the resellers who drain the CMP, and the fucking retards who can't do a little paperwork ordering from the resellers on GunBroker for $2k. I knew this idiot kid who I tried to literally walk through how to do the paperwork, and he said "it too hard" and got a super late serial number for like $2k, a service grade. When I ordered through the CMP I got a early WW2 serial for way less. I never stopped making fun of him for that. If you can't do the paperwork you are a retard and shouldn't own one. You can't write some shit down, take photocopies and get it notarized and mailed at a UPS? Seriously?

It's more of me being a snob towards retards who buy milsurp and put the highest grain ammo off the shelf through it(As Ian of Forgotten Weapons once described). Those who do not respect it and throw it into circulation at inflated prices while being damaged from misuse. It's great.
the resellers who drain the CMP
It's even better when they have it in the case it was shipped in with the paperwork on their table, like they only just got it the day before the gun show. Always a decrepit boomer.
