The comments are so fucking baffling. Like is it really so bad to say you bought a lemon? It's a piece of shit that has a far greater potential than any other similarly priced pistol to put a round into your thunder thigh. Like I can't stand how this case has evolved and I still got to see retards online doing anything in their power to take pressure off of SIG, even the unpaid actors!
i think they're just a victim of regular old school boomer bullshit, the assumption that just because they made something good in the past that means that they can still make good stuff. the p226 isn't even a good gun and its, what, 45 years old? i wouldn't trust them to still make good stuff but im not the demographic with disposable income

So to the people smarter than I, if someone had a sig 320 X-ten they got shortly after it hit the shelves. How nervous should that person be to use it? Like range toy only, or pure paperweight, or is it late enough that it's probably fine?

It's not yet known for certain what causes it, but there's some guesses including poorly fitting parts, a broken spring or even flexing the grip frame.
Until someone actually goes through it with a fine tooth comb and not just to grift I'd say range toy or carrying Israeli-style.

Or the real answer is to just buy a CZ P-07.

Simpson Ltd and Liberty Tree Collectors are usually my go to, prices are sometimes high but you can find what you need if you keep an eye out.
I endorse these stores too, other than them you can sometimes find what you need on Ebay, Etsy or sometimes IMA (if you don't mind reproductions).

never ever gunbroker. its all boomer money chasing. only sell on there.

Is $850 at a brick and mortar store a good price for a Colt Mark IV Model 70 government model? It's got very basic GI sights and a blued finish with some wear around the muzzle.
not a deal, not a rip off imho. if it's stainless that's not a bad price. rare options include medallion smooth wood grips replacing pachmayr wrap-around grips, fancy wood checkered grips (rosewood, et c). if its new in box then that's also a decent discount over a used trade-in. if it has "MARK IV" roll marked on the slide check the collet bushing (barrel bushing) if it's solid or has "fingers" machined into it. the "finger" style bushing stopped in 1983 and, while prone to breaking from fatigue cracks, is desirable from a collectible stand point. some pistols left the factory with stainless triggers and hammer as well, which is interesting, but points to a CTO model. lipsey's had a special version with high polish nickel finish and faux ivory grips with silver medallions that were part of a 2000 unit production run that is pretty rare.

I swear most of the money being moved on gunbroker comes from shill bidding. GB doesn't care because they get a cut either way.

i feel like the gen 2 glocks arent appreciated enough. maybe im autistic but they look the nicest. no finger grooves, no front serrations, no rail (when applicable), and no beveled front of the slide.
for me it's the gen 2 g20. well, i hope i can find one soon.

I can't shoulder anything at the moment since I have a port installed. Got out to my grandparents place earlier this week and still managed to kill the raccoon fucking up their new chicken house with my H9. First time I've fired it since I got it back with the updated parts, kills pests well at least but I haven't been able to test if it still keyholes with 115gr rounds or not. I still hate the trigger. I changed out the grips for some mahogany grips to fit my giant hands more comfortably.

I want to get myself a new gun once I start feeling better. Haven't purchased one in over a year which is a really long time for me. Might finally get a Staccato C2, I'm always sad when I have to hand my buddies' back to him after a range day.
