He should make better ammo instead of shitty reman I wish I could trust buying from him. I genuinely at this point don't trust anyone selling ammo to tell me anything. The firearms community are full of panic buying retards and he's saying his own prices will go up too (So you'd better buy now!). The fucking Lake City Biden rumor bullshit made me so mad. I cannot stand how prone gun owners are to absolute fear mongering FOMO bullshit tactics. I'll continue to wait and see how things work out. The gun community has itself been the cause for cost raises in the past through panic buying.

The Fenix ammo guy is such a fucking prick on social media too. Jerks himself off about driving a 15 year old Porsche SUV and living in Michigan. Fucking tool.

And like that every American made nylon gear company rejoiced.

You'll be seeing a shitload of this next week.

Note that the Chinese tariffs aren't stopping, economically kneecapping China is a huge Trump goal.

AKs and FALs are all but dead, the former bottlenecked by US production not fully committing to the bit and the latter because IMBEL is no longer sending us magazines in any reasonable quantity. HK may eventually make something of worth on US soil but only time will tell.
There has been no better time to build an AR-15 because you can make absolutely anything you want no matter your desire.
Milsurp is a radioactive market due to influence from YouTube historians, camouflage is disappearing for TikTok/LARP and new production is often cringe bullshit.

Imported pistols are where we're really going to suffer, but the US-made Glock clones and 1911s/2011s will pick up the slack.

PSA has MOSTLY figured out the US made AK (thank God).

Fal and G3s.... Lol nah.

Speaking of, what do you all think of the PWS UXR? I admit it sounds interesting. The MSRP on those and the fact that they have a lot less commonality in parts with the ubiquitous AR platform makes it a tough sell. That said, my dumb ass will likely buy one if they release an 18" .308 model. No clue why, but I fucking love 18" .308 gas guns (so long as they're resonably accurate).

UXR is SUPER cool but expensive and proprietary.

Fwiw I'll probably be going with a JAKL 2.0 next year for my 5.56mm long stroke rifle.

As for TARIFF GUNS.... Tikka T3x ctr in 6.5CM and the PPK that I want are both in US warehouses and stores as I type lol.

Beyond that, nothing remotely foreign

G3s.... Lol nah
Worst gun purchase I ever made when I was new to firearms and didn't have anyone tell me better. I picked up that Century Arms G3 knock off. It was such a piece of shit, didn't even make it 300 rounds before the charging handle would lock up half way and refuse to move. I paid to get it fixed and then sold it at a loss just to get it out of my safe. Unless HK started making and selling civilian G3s here, I'd be really hesitant to try another one again.

I'd say they're ready for ranch use but not serious use, I don't think anyone is prepared to trust them after the very rocky start. Riley is reportedly not explosive if you keep it stock.
I am so, so glad I dropped my want for Soviet gear a while ago.

I heard rants about PTR and was congratulated for avoiding them, I wonder how badly they fucked up if that's the case.
I've got a DSA FAL and their polymer magazines function but I would not want one to slip out of my hands onto the floor. I've got one working Korean magazine to fit as well as a handful of legit imports, but the usual sources are dry. Don't buy a FAL, at least not until DSA actually produces their steel mags in a sensible volume.

That was good you gave chimps suffering from DTs work. That's like hiring retards to wipe tables. But making guns.

Sorry man.

I have a request/demand from my milsurp geeks. Are the jap bakelight muzzle covers for type 99s old and or anyone make repos? Saw one cheap I'd like to snag just to have.

they are being reproduced and the repros deform with enough uses (also repros do not have a rolled edge, they are cut off flat plastic). the original had very little give because they are compressed celluloid with shellac and very flammable, but (other than color due to the year made) are the same for the Type 38 and Type 99. just pay the $20 for an original and call it a day.

I know what you mean. I seriously considered one back when they were a bit less money. It seems as if one could get a Marlin in .45-70 with some handloads that wouldn't be too far behind a BHA in .500 S&W, and for a whole lot less. I could be wrong.
or get it converted to .50 alaskan or .475 turnbull or .50-110 and have a gun in a better cartridge than .500S&W and can take on the big 5.

Holy fuck, that Turnbull round! I'd never heard of that. WAY more interesting than a stupid expensive magnum revolver lever action.

I placed a few orders for certain items before the tariffs hit so I don't have to worry about them later. There's not much that I want right now but I figured that having a little more ammunition on hand and maybe a couple of other items. I'd like to have a little more 7.62x54R at least, it's my favorite caliber actually. The cost per round is still okay in proportion to its anti-matter excellence.

@Falcos_Commisar I may sound like a whiney bitch for saying this, but I'm worried that the disappearance of foreign stuff from the market will limit us to shitty AR clones.

Yeah I only have one Mosin to feed so I'm pretty good on 7.62x51R.

As for shitty AR clones .... That's the entire planet now lol. Except Russia.

Everyone else is going for a reasonably AR-style rifle with a gas piston or DI system.

Even China.

Again, thankfully that PSA makes reasonable AKs in the USA but losing WASR and Zastava and WPB will SUCK (if it happens)

Zastava said the tariffs won't affect their price so any dealer doing so is being a greedy pig.

Actually, you are incorrect about that 🇷🇺

Read again, and use your brain.

"No price increases on the products we currently have in stock"

If (and when) their import prices increase, they are going to increase their prices on their goods. Unless

1. They are prepared to sell stuff at cost
2. There was already plenty of air in their prices that they can afford to take in

I took it differently, you're correct. The issue is really that the majority of any cost increase on a firearm won't be from the company. Let's say the price to dealers is 15% more. Dealers already have the gun at a 25% markup before this increase. So now that 25% the dealer is up charging the customer is going to be 60%. They'll blame the tariffs, but in reality they could have kept the previous price on the gun and just made a little less money on it. Instead they up the price even more in their shop because gun owners are retarded and easily ripped off and panic buy. Truth be told I really despise most gun stores. You'll see them selling something super popular like a P365 for $100 more than MSRP and then get mad when you go to the big box store and just pay MSRP. Give me a break.

This kind of thing is why I prefer the "build it yourself" deal whenever possible over getting fucked over in highway robbery buying a complete model at the store. Sure it costs money anyway but these stores who take advantage of panic buyers like that get fucked and I still get what I want.

I find it ironic that despite a Republican victory they still found a way to initiate another round of panic buying.

I'm just so jaded that it doesn't surprise me anymore. People will panic buy over absolutely anything anymore, politics-related or not.
